In contrast to the snow and ice around them, the Caelorian people were dark. Dark-haired, dark-eyed, most were dark-skinned and clad in dark clothes. Everyone seemed to be engrossed in their own business, and though this place was just as bustling as the Alerian dock she departed from, it seemed solemn in a way.
In the mass of dark hues, the Great Emperor Erus stood out, with his white fur cape, golden regalia and faded hair under a crown that was polished to perfection. His skin was palid and, in this cold lighting, almost tinted blue. In comparison to Malus’ healthy tan, the Emperor looked sickly, frail under all the layers he wore. Despite all of this, his deep blue eyes were piercing, raidating the same impression of power and regality as his Crown Prince.
