“How do you expect me to great you, Ms. Pollyana?”
The cold voice from Demire echoed to Sofia’s ear. It made her knees trembled. “J-just Sofia, Sir.” She sighed deeply and trying hard to avoid his gaze. “I’m really sorry, Sir. I will make sure, this will never happen again,” she sounds too positive about it, but his eyes were still upset, because who would not be? She should be on time at her first day, then this is what she did. Though, it was not just her but also the traffic after all.
“Of course, this will never happen again, ‘cause if yes? Say good bye to your job, Ms. Sofia. I hate late and I hate stupid employee who don’t know how to handle their time well.” Demire tilted the ballpen he was holding and stared at the beautiful woman in front of him. He has to wake himself up in day dreaming about her. “I bet we’re clear about it, regarding about may rules inside the company, I’ll tell it later. Fix yourself first, Ms. Sofia, a newbie secretary shouldn’t be with a messy hair. Tsk!” Does he feel totally upset about her hair? Or was he just worried not to focus to his work today because of her?
Her face grimaced. “O-okay, Sir. I’m really sorry.” She walked out the room and sighed as she closed the door of his office. “Oh, God, Sofia. You woke up too early but look at you now, you’re so late. Gosh! Why didn’t I think about the heavy traffic this morning? Freak!” She shrugged her shoulder. She headed the powder room with her messy hair and oily face. Sofia started to fix her makeup again, brushed her hair and arranged her dress. She faced herself in front of huge mirror on top of the sink. “I didn’t saw his eyes flashed because of what I am wearing—Stupid, Sofia! Of course! You’re faced him so ugly.” She remembered her messy hair and oily face. “That’s embarrassing!” Meanwhile, she decided to start her work. A woman named Hanna oriented her about her work, then finally showed her cubicle outside the room of Mr. Goddard. She was precisely amaze and happy to have her first ever office. This was her first job as a secretary and ever dreamed to work with a famous business tycoon, Demire Goddard. She could positively define it as an achievement and an overwhelming lucky that happened to her just yesterday. She sat down on the black swivel chair ang played it, slowly turning it around with her back leaning on it confidently. I am the new secretary of Mr. Goddard, anyone wants to get an appointment to him? She was practicing on her mind and burst out to laugher. She stopped playing and started to organized her table with a computer on top. “Amazing! I don’t have to buy new laptop, and luckily with unlimited internet.”
“Yes, but you will just use it to everything related to work.”
She stood up in surprise as she heard his voice. She didn’t have to face him in order to recognize who owned this voice. Demire was standing on her back five minutes ago, he was just staring at her. He shook his head as he saw her playing the swivel chair and was so childish to know about the unlimited internet. He started to regret accepted this woman as his secretary. ‘She’s totally a goddamn freak!’ He told to himself watching her from behind.
“O-of course I know it, Sir.” She smiled absolutely fake. “Do you need anything, Sir? Soft drinks? Tea or milk?”
He chuckled inside him but he has to hide this. “Freak!” he whispered, “None of the above.” He sighed and shoved his hands inside the pockets of his pants. “Yeah, it was your first time to work as a secretary.”
“How did you know about it, Sir?”
“I read your resume.”
Her forehead was drawn tangled lines. As far as she can remember, he didn’t read her CV or resume. He just loamed it a stare for seconds and told her she was hired. “O-oh, you read it.” She chuckled sarcastically, unsure of how she should react. Don’t tell me, he has the power of speed and a strong photographic memory? That’s insane, Sofia. She wants to burst out in laugher again but she cannot in front of him.
“So, you will make me a coffee while standing there and facing me?” He crackled his knuckles in front of her to wake her up in her early dream.
“O-of course not! Sir!” She pouted her lips and immediately turned her back at him. “Okay, Sofia, you need to make a sweet coffee.
“twenty-five percent sugar will be good.”
She doesn’t have to face him again, she just nodded. “Okay…”
He sighed, staring at her. Slowly walking away, her hips were swaying and the dress she wearing was perfectly suiting her curved body thoroughly. He rued the way he stared at her, he seemed to burn himself the same fire he’s the one who made. The arousal that he can felt though her was unusual. How could he work inside his office now knowing this woman is just in front of his room, wearing a sexy dress, pouty lips and goddamn beautiful! He has no idea how to tame the flame inside him, she’s different. The first time he saw her, she plagued the sleeping thirst inside him. He wants her, could be her blood or definitely the woman with its odd charm be on his bed. He groaned and vanish his thoughts. He walked back his office and leaned on the door. “What are you doing woman? You making me more thirst than I was before. I shouldn’t hire you. That was a big mistake!” He washed his face with his palms.
