Sofia smiled staring at the mirror. She loved what she seeing. The dress he bought for her was perfectly fitted. It seems the dress was made only for her. She took out her makeup pouch inside her bag and started to applied makeup on her face. Demire gave her thirty minutes to arranger herself. Before the thirty minutes end, she’s already done. She went of the room and surprised to see him outside. It seems like he waited her outside. “You been there for how many minutes?” “Not a minute, let’s go?” She nodded. He walked first, leading the direction. Until this morning, she couldn’t believe how huge his house was and beautiful at the same time. And now that she can clearly see the hidden beauty last night because of the dim lights, amusement spoiled her. “You have a very beautiful house, Mr. Goddard, classy and neat. I wonder how it feels, living inside this palace.” “Insane,” he murmured, “This is not a palace, Sofia, stop dreaming.” He took the car keys out of his pocket before they reached the garage. “Oh, you have five sports cars?” Her eyes widened and excitedly reached the black car in front of her. “Wow! This is beautiful.” “Don’t touch it, silly!” She immediately removed her hands from touching the tinted window. “Oh, sorry. Look really expensive.” “Yes, it is.” He shook his head and sighed. “Get in,” he ordered her and opened the door of a coupe type black car. What a gentle man. Sofia thoughted and followed what he said. She got into the car and sat beside the driver’s seat. Demire followed inside and sat beside her. He started to buckle his seatbelt and so she did. They’re on the high way when something came up on her mind. “Mr. Goddard, I didn’t saw any picture of you inside your house. Are you afraid on the camera?” He sighed. He’s living for a hundred years, he watched how the world called earth was slowly transforming into a modern one. He never gets old, so why would he take picture of him and save it for many years? Only mortals doing it, because they wanted something that will make them remember what they look like when they’re young. Something to reminisce. “No, I just don’t want,” he simply answered her. He’s focusing on the road. “What about the picture of your family? Are you alone?” He immediately stopped the car and looked at her. “Are you crazy?” Sofia faced him confused. “No, why?” He sighed unbelievable. “Where did you get the guts to ask me that stupid question of yours?” he sounds annoyed but when his eyes caught hers, there is something touched his heart. Taming him. He saw her wonderment and a sudden shock because of his cold tone. “I’m sorry.” He didn’t answer her. They heard the automobile horn because they stopped in the middle of the road, that caused a small traffic. He went back driving and forget about her question. He knew she didn’t mean it. No one tried to speak again, until they reached the company. Sofia waited him to open the door for her but he didn’t. She sighed in disbelief and went out of the car, stamping her feet on the ground. “Badass!” she murmured. Sofia run towards the entrance to follow him. Suddenly, the atmosphere changed, from being dark—it turned out darker. Everyone on the lobby seemed muted. No one tried to speak and they’re all standing and bowing their heads to show him respect. “What’s wrong with them?” She looked over her shoulder to check more of people on the lobby that she passed. She noticed Gab standing on the corridor but didn’t tried to approach her. Of course, she knew the reason why. It’s because she walking with their boss who never wanted anyone block his way. The boss of all the bosses. “Get in, Sofia.” She blinked when she heard his voice. Didn’t noticed that she already facing the elevator and Demire was standing inside. “Y-yeah.” She got in and waved her hand to Gab who remained staring at them. “What about my schedule today? Did you fix it already?” She nodded. “Yes, Mr. Goddard.” Finally. Demire saw her doing fine. She already forgotten about the kissed and he was thankful. He didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable with him, just like last night. He’d thinking about her health too. If she continued thinking about the kiss and night passes and left her sleepless, it may harm her health. He knew how much she loved to do stupid thing, that a normal people will never do. She is a freak and quite silly. That thought brought him the foolish incident when Sofia didn’t eat lunch because he said they will have lunch at 2pm. There is no human with a normal brain will do that stupid things. But only Sofia Pollyana. “What will be my schedule today?” “I forgot my clipboard on my table.” Her lips twitched. “I’ll check later, Mr. Goddard.” “Stupid!” he whispered on the other side of the elevator. While they were inside the elevator, waiting to reach the floor of his office, Demire notice the new atmosphere he can feel while he was with her. He couldn't explain himself what is it, but he knew something was different about him and the atmosphere he felt when he was with her.
