ARIANNE’S POV
AGITATED AND DEEPLY DEFENSIVE. The headmistress slams her hands to the glass table, stands up, and yells.
“Who are you?” her aggravated tone and popping veins of anger.
With her fist tight and cursing the two of us with the brush of fear from a while ago.
“Calm down headmistress, I am just asking you where is the child that we wanted to adopt.” I calmly said, drawing a smile while holding back my anger.
“I am calm Mrs. Ash. But I am telling you that there is no such child that you just described that is currently here and we are taking care of in this orphanage.” She insists and is not at all calm.
Her expression is more than telling us that she is lying. With her defensive tone, shivering hands in anger, and the fear of being caught for her lies.
