1957 was a new year and often found Tony and I, along with one or more of his friends, usually roommate Frank Bramen, spending an evening at our favorite local pub or pizza place, having a beer and pizza, or just a beer and conversation. Being Tony’s roommate, Frank and Tony were very close, and having no car, both often came to town together and Frank would often join Tony and me for the evening.
Frank was very comfortable in my company.Although he didn’t have a girlfriend or dates with any of the local girls,that I was aware of, he did have an eye for the opposite s*x, and I felt, for some reason, that his feelings for me went‘above and beyond’ that of his roommate’s girlfriend.
