The Alpha’s Wife Wants Revenge

Chapter 4 : Excitement

Charles’s PoV 

I pour myself a drink while overlooking the beautiful scenery of snowy mountains from the windows. Who would have thought that I could have everything I have ever imagined in my palm without doing much? 

Besides, no words could describe how rapturous I was when Laura asked me to make her my Luna. I have waited for this day since we first met at the academy. Although she has no idea of my existence, I have been watching her from the shadows, ensuring no one is taking advantage of her.

But, now that she knew who I am, why can’t I shake the feeling of nervousness whenever she’s around me? I couldn’t help but to fidget at the thought of her touching me. I need to throw away this stupid thought but it’s hard when your crush actually giving you the attention you’ve always wanted from her. 

It was easy for me to keep a low profile at the academy since I was a nobody. No one paid attention to me. But now, that’s not the case anymore. I have a mission to complete. 

“Sir?” 

I cleared my throat when my assistant and an old friend, Jeremy, walked into the room while I was dancing around, singing Que Sera Sera. 

“I guess you had a fun night with Miss Laura. But, sir, will you be able to control yourself? I mean- you’ve always get cold feet whenever she’s around.” 

Cold feet? After what happened last night, I think I can manage- I think. Besides, we’re using each other.

“Sir, no- Charles. You have been obsessed with Laura since our academy days, but using her for revenge makes you a coward. You’re the alpha now— using that title properly is what I think you should do. I thought you liked Laura.” 

I do- I still am. And that’s why I was ecstatic when she asked me to make her my Luna. 

“Keep your voice low. The lady is still in the room next to us. I don’t want her to hear what you’re saying.” 

Jeremy sighed. 

“Why are you here even? I thought I told you to stay out of my room until the lady leaves.” 

Jeremy was about to say something when he decided not to. 

“Charles, you’ve been watching the lady since you first met her at the academy. I was there when you put yourself into dangerous situations, for Laura’s sake. Will you finally tell her you’re the knight in shining armor who would come to her aide whenever she’s in trouble?” 

I shake my head no. 

“It’s not the right them yet. You should go.” 

Jeremy nodded before he left the room. I grabbed my drink and went back to my room. 

“You’re still here?” 

I froze when Laura turned with a sheepish smile on her face. Oh Goddess, is it possible for someone to be so beautiful? Laura is the epitome od beauty. And Matthew is stupid for breaking her heart. 

Last night she came here without a second thought. I’m glad, but what I hate the most is that she would accidentally call out Matthew’s name instead of mine while we were together. 

Moreover, I hate to admit it, but last night was my first. This woman took my virginity. And she is an experienced woman who was engaged to a pathetic man. And  it was my first time touching a woman, and I’m afraid I might be addicted to it. And her asking me if I want to make her my Luna was the question of a century. I felt fortunate that I gave my first time to Laura, my first crush. 

I watched as Laura tiptoed towards me before hooking my neck, leaned closer to my thin lips, and stubbornly opened her mouth, 

"I'm not afraid of you."

It can’t be help. This woman is like a d**g to me. And I can’t help myself to have a nibble of her luscious lips. I leaned in for a kiss before placing my hands on her waist. We pulled away, looking deep into each other orbs. 

“You have such a beautiful pair of eyes I have ever seen.” 

Is that so? I smirk before kissing the tip of her nose. Laura blushed in a deep shade of red. 

“Are you trying to flirt with me and lure me into making you my Luna?” 

Laura sighed. I had already wasted years because I feared confessing to this woman. If only I had told her I was madly in love with her, we wouldn’t be in this situation. 

“Does it sound repulsive to have your nephew’s ex as your Luna? Remember, Charles- I have never let that man finish inside me— but you did. So whatever happened, you have to take responsibility.” 

Is she threatening me? I never guessed Laura was the type to use such a resort before. I smiled at the thought of her as my wife. Can I say— yippee! 

I didn’t let my honest thoughts be visible on my face. I watched as this woman sighed. Laura pulled away, lay down on the bed, and cried herself to sleep. I was about to have a cigarette afterward but found that flattened the cigarette on the floor. Did Laura express her frustration by stepping on my expensive cigar repeatedly with her foot? 

I turned and looked at the little woman sleeping on the bed. I keep staring at her with many obscene thoughts. There are so many things I would like to do to that woman, but I’m a gentleman, and as one, I should be polite and respectful. 

My phone kept flashing. I picked it up and saw more than twenty missed calls and a few text messages.

"Have you seen my fiancée? Someone told me that she went somewhere with you. What have you done to her?!” 

I raised my eyebrows before casually replying to the text, 

“Don't worry, she is safer with me than with you."

I scrolled through a few more messages and pondered silently for a moment, then quickly turned off the phone, dressed, and left without telling Laura. 

“Jeremy, Matthew is looking for Laura. Make sure that man doesn’t make a scene in my room.” 

Jeremy nodded. 

“But sir, you should-“ 

I didn’t let Jeremy finish his sentences. 

“There’s a lot of things I have to think about. So please, let’s not dwell in the past.” 

There was a point in my life when I wished I dared to confess, but those thoughts are behind me now. All I can do now is walk forward. By hook or by crook, I will make Laura mine.
