Laura’s PoV
I don’t understand what just happened. I know I was kissing Charles but somehow I got a little too aggressive and it made Charles startled. I know he didn’t mean to push me that hard but I never thought he would apologize immediately.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to push you away.”
I shake my head no. It’s my fault for getting way too excited. I must have hurt him. I touched his swollen lips before giving it a kiss.
“I couldn’t control my fangs. I’m sorry. I’ll start practicing self-restrained more often.”
Charles chuckled.
“We should get ready. Your parents must be waiting for you.”
There’s a lot of question playing in my mind but I decided to keep it to myself. I got up and went to grab my bag before taking Charles’s hand as we leave the room.
