Life is a gamble. When the werewolf king approached me, I froze. That man has such an aura that makes everyone tremble in fear, but not Charles. When I think back on what happened back in the hall, I cringe. I was this close to becoming a member of the king’s harem.
Harem.
I hate this term. My father has four wives, including my mother. Mr Wilson has three wives, including Matthew’s mother and another woman I never met. Even the former alpha, Charles’s father, has six wives. But Charles’s mother remains by his side.
