Mrs. Crawford Pt. 1

Cassie is Twenty-Two Years Old             Cassie woke up next to Cayden. I studied him for several seconds. He was perfect. We had so much coming up this week. My bachelorette party...his bachelor party...then it was finally our wedding day. This is what happens when you let a perfectionist plan things. The details took time. I hadn’t even been thinking about our wedding. I didn’t want to let myself get too excited then be sad when it didn’t happen. So I had to start from scratch. I could’ve had my mom snap it all done, but I didn't want to rush. I wanted to make sure every detail was what matched Cayden and me. My mom was completely supportive. We’d been shopping all over the world. It was nice doing things like that with just her, me, and Angela. We’d all had a blast.              Cayden groaned, “You’re thinking very loud this early in the morning.” I rolled my eyes, “You don’t know what I’m thinking.” Cayden opened his eyes and rolled on top of me. He smirked, “I know exactly what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that your bachelorette party is today, and my bachelor party is later this week then….” He leaned down and kissed me. He pulled back, “You'll be Cassie Crawford. My wife. You’ll be a commander's mate, wife, and a duchess. So many titles for the most beautiful woman in the world.” I giggled, “It does have quite the ring to it. Cassie Crawford. I can’t believe it’s finally here.” Cayden smiled, “You wanted everything to be perfect.” I touched his face, “You’re perfect.” Cayden studied me, “How did I get so lucky?” I smiled, “We. How did we get so lucky? I love you Cayden Crawford. You’re everything I dreamed of as a little girl for my mate and more. I always wanted a crazy love, and you’ve given that to me. In the most unexpected of ways. I love our life, Cayden.” Cayden smiled, “I love you Cassie almost Crawford. You’re my everything.” I smiled, “What are you doing tonight?” Cayden sighed, “Working.” I frowned. Cayden kissed me, “I’ll be fine. Are you going to tell me what you guys are doing yet?” I laughed, “Hey….I was not in charge of planning the bachelorette party. I don't even know all of what we are doing. I just know the one thing. Which you will find out about….you might laugh when you do. I don’t know how long it will take before you figure out the full picture, but you’ll smile when you do.”                  I only knew what we were doing at the beginning of the day. It was my request. I wanted everything Cora to be dealt with today. Because there was no way in HELL that b***h would be alive on my wedding day. Cayden smiled, “How about you tell me what you are doing that you know about? Just a hint, My Duchess.” I smiled, “Like I said….you’ll find out. The reveal will be worth it.” Cayden rolled his eyes, and I felt the tip of him at my entrance. He whispered, “I bet I could make you talk, My Duchess.” I smiled and rolled my hips up, “You could….Or you could be surprised when you come home.” Cayden slid slowly into me. I gasped. He smirked, “I love that you do that.” He nibbled my ear then whispered, “f**k Cass….You feel so damn good.” I gripped his biceps running my hands up and down his arms, “It’s not fair Cayden….You like stepped out of a magazine. God DAMN your muscles have muscles.” He thrust into me. I moaned, “Cayden.” He whispered, “That’s it my Duchess….Say my name.” I bit my lip, “Cayden...My Commander.” He did an impressive growl for not having a wolf. He leaned down and bit my neck. His breath tickled my neck sending sparks throughout my body when he asked, “Do you have any idea what you do to me, Cass? I can’t wait to call you wife.” I smiled, “I can’t wait to call you husband.” Cayden hissed, “f**k me Cass.” I smiled, “Ok.” I flipped us over and began to ride him. He smirked.              After several minutes he pinned me back to my back. He grunted, “Minx.” I smiled, “I’m your minx.” He smirked, “All mine. Forever.” We wrestled on the bed for hours switching through different positions. We’d come countless time, but we couldn’t stop. I needed him. We’d both just come again when someone knocked on our door. Cayden slowly pulled out of me and grabbed some shorts. He closed our bedroom door before he went to the front door. He yanked our front door open. He yelled, “You’d better be dying!” I heard someone say, “Uhh Commander…..” Cayden hissed, “You’re not dying.” He slammed the door shut and came back to bed. I laughed, “You scared whoever that was.” Cayden kissed me hard. When he pulled back he said, “If it was important Hendrix would’ve been at the door.” I laughed and got up, “We should shower….and eat...I’m starving.” I popped into the shower. Cayden came up behind me pushing himself flush against me. He slowly grabbed the loofa from me and began to slowly rub little circles over my body with it. I was whimpering with need by the time he was done.              He casually dropped the loofa on the shower floor. He slid two fingers inside me. I laid my head back on his chest. He moved his fingers slowly inside me. I whispered, “Cayden….” He bit my neck then kissed upwards towards my ear. He kept sliding his fingers in and out of me. He nibbled my ear then seductively whispered, “I love when you say my name, my Duchess.” He began to move his fingers faster. I gasped, “Oh my god.” I whimpered, gripping his butt with my hands desperate for something to hold onto. He commanded, “Come for again Cass. Come now.” I screamed, “CAYDEN! f**k!” I didn’t how he did that, but when he commanded me I couldn’t deny him. Cayden slid his fingers out of me but kept an arm around my waist holding me up until I caught my breath.              I turned around and kissed him lightly and picked up the loofa with my toes. I lifted my foot and grabbed it with my hand. I began to wash him. He closed his eyes enjoying the sensations. I dropped to my knees. I eyed his d**k hungrily. Cayden hissed, “My Duchess…..when you look at me that way….I don’t want to leave the damn house.” I took him in my mouth. His hand instantly went into my hair. I moaned, “Mmmmm.” Cayden gripped my hair tighter locking eyes with me. I didn't have to do much. He was so hard already. I linked him, “Does fingering me do this to you, My Commander?” Cayden linked back, “You do this to me. I can’t help it. When you have your perfectly round ass up against me...What did you expect? Your little moans….you whispering then yelling my name….It’s all just...oh f**k!” He exploded in my mouth. I swallowed everything he had and released him from my mouth with a pop.             Cayden picked me up off my knees. He put his hand on my face and rubbed his thumb lovingly on my cheek. He kissed me softly. He turned off the water. I snapped us dry and into clothes. Then I snapped us our favorite breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, biscuits, and a side of bacon. Cayden grabbed the orange juice and two glasses for us. We sat down at our table and ate our breakfast. When we finished Cayden stood up and kissed me. He smiled, “Have a good bachelorette party.” I smiled and stood, “Thanks...I’m coming with you to the gym though…..So….You’ll just have to kiss me again later.” Cayden laughed, “Of course you are coming to the gym. What was I thinking? I suppose I will just have to give you another kiss later. Darn the luck.” Both of us laughed. We walked hand in hand into the gym. Aaron walked up to us, “Good morning you two.” I smiled, “Good morning Aaron.” I kissed his cheek, “I’ll let you guys talk.” They went into Cayden’s office. I grabbed a bamboo stick and joined Milana in the ring. After thirty minutes. I heard a laugh, “I’m going to go ahead and call your fight.” I turned around and popped into my Uncle’s arms.              I pulled back, “You’re back Uncle Drake!” Uncle Drake smiled, “I am back. None of us will be leaving this week. We all have to be around the week of your wedding. Your mother insists google says it’s important not to stress out the bride. Any of us or your cousins being gone...could stress you out; therefore, none of us will be leaving. Cayden gets a day pass. I do literally mean a day pass.. Your mom made him one. The small fine print says that she’ll come get him if he's not back before your party ends.” I laughed, “I’m glad. I would be so sad if one of you missed the wedding.” I wasn’t worried Cayden would miss a thing. He was just as excited about our wedding as I was. My Uncle snorted, “As if we’d miss this momentous event.” I bit my lip, “Is daddy still pouting?” My Uncle laughed, “Oh, he’s just moping around over the fact that his little girl is all grown up. You’ll even have a different last name. He loves Cayden though. You know that. He just has to deal with his little girl being a woman.” I snorted, “I’ve been living with Cayden since I was seventeen.” Uncle Drake smiled, “Ah, but it’s all just different little Cassie. Last name changes….that’s a big deal….Marriage….big deal.” I rolled my eyes.              I was picked up and spun around. I wasn’t worried. I knew who it was. I turned, “Alexander, you’re here early.” He shrugged, “I wanted to grab Micah before he left.” I tilted my head, “Why?” Alexander shrugged, “It doesn’t matter. This week is all about you.” I smiled, “Good. Because I want to know what’s bothering my big brother. So...by your logic...You have to tell me. I think I love this rule. Literally no one cannot tell me what I want to know….if someone tries to evade….I’ll just call mom. Then….I’ll be told. Wow….this is an odd feeling. I feel so powerful.” My Uncle Drake laughed, “She’s got you there.”              I smiled at my brother, “Come on. I’ll take you to Micah and Max. You can fill me in when we get there.” Alexander laughed, “I’ve already seen them. Then I ran fifteen miles. Amazing what you can get done when you don’t spend the morning….the….uh….way you did.” I snorted, “Oh my god. Will any of you be able to say having s*x when it comes to me?” Alexander pursed his lips, “Maybe.” I laughed, “You’ll be just as bad when you meet your Me...Mate.” My Uncle Drake asked, “His me mate? What the hell is that?” I looked at Alexander in a panic. I’d almost said his Melanie. Alexander winked at me. Then he told Uncle Drake, “She means my mate.” Uncle Drake raised an eyebrow, “You have a mate named me? I don’t think so Alexander. Try again.” Alexander smiled, “I would but this week is all about the bride and she wants to talk to me. So….we gotta go. Bye!” He grabbed me and popped me out of the gym.                  He popped me to the spot I’d first met Cayden in. I bit my lip, “Smooth big brother.” Alexander shrugged, “Hey...sometimes when you all you’ve got is popping away….you use it.” I put my hand on his shoulder, “They’d understand. Uncle Bjourn knows. They wouldn’t tell mom.” Alexander rubbed his head, “Sometimes...I don’t know why I don’t tell her.” I looked away. I didn’t know either. Mom would fix this whole damn mess in a heartbeat. Alexander sighed, “Then I remember that Melanie is living her dream. My little lovebug is off being amazing. How could I stand in the way of that?” I raised an eyebrow, “Lovebug?” Alexander blushed, “They call her ladybug….she’s my lovebug.” I laughed, “You know that’s a car…..Right?” Alexander smiled, “I might have bought her a red one too. Jason said she loves them. Always talked about it when she was little.” I gaped, “You already bought her car? Where do you keep it?” Alexander smiled, “A storage space I rent. She loves the color red. She loves Volkswagen bugs….She’s my lovebug….So I bought her car.” I titled my head, “So have you finally stepped off the crazy train of ‘I’m just obsessed with her and actually admit….Melanie McAlister is yours.’”                Alexander ran a hand through his hair, “Oden is so sure. He says she’s ours. Her smell….It’s so intense. I just worry….others have said she’s theirs.” I rolled my eyes, “They WANT to claim her as theirs...not that she is theirs. She’s yours and no one will convince me otherwise. Now, what brought you here so early?” Alexander rubbed his head. I frowned, “Alexander?” He frowned, “Just…a headache.” I frowned, “Brother...talk to me.” Alexander sighed, “The caller….From last year after we got that note from the resistance.” I frowned. The note had been because of Alexander...then when you add the Laxenread to the equation…..it always came back to Alexander. Cayden believed Ashley Griffen was behind Laxenread. He couldn’t share that of course because she wouldn’t answer Cayden’s questions about the Ring Resistance. She evaded. Which to me was proof enough, but Cayden needed more solid evidence. Since Ashley still didn’t want to meet me I couldn’t make her tell the truth. I knew it was her that got Cayden and my family to me two years ago when Cora betrayed me. I was certain Ashley was the best sniper in the resistance. Cayden said she was astounding with a handgun. He’d seen her use it a few times.              Cayden was beyond frustrated about the whole situation. He had circumstantial evidence, but Ashley told him to let her know when he had actual proof. She seemed confident he wouldn’t find any. So far, she was right. The girl was too goddamn smart. What I couldn’t figure out was….her connection to Alexander. Did she look up to him because he was a fighter? How would that be enough for Laxenread….to finally reach out to my brothers after YEARS of EJ asking for answers. It just didn’t jive. Cayden told me Ashley had implemented Alexander’s training and fighting style with her warriors. Even without a wolf she’d won the challenge for the lead warrior. The girl was impressive. Damn it if I didn’t want to meet her. Something about her….and Melanie seemed so similar from the way Elise describes Melanie and the way Cayden described Ashley. I shook myself. That was silly. Melanie was living her dream.              I focused back on Alexander, “Ok...the call…after the letter...has you….what exactly?” Alexander sighed, “It’s crazy...but...I just think it was...no it’s silly. I just need to know who it was.” I frowned, “Who do you think it was?” It clicked. I gaped, “You think it was Melanie?! You think Melanie is the sniper?” Alexander rubbed his head, “No...yes...maybe…..GOD! My head hurts. No, I know it doesn’t make sense….I know that….but I have this nagging feeling…..I need to know who called me. I need to know, Cass.” I frowned, “What does Micah say?” Alexander sighed, “We can’t get a lock. I’ve called the phone back. I’ve left messages. I know whoever is on the other end listens to them because if they didn’t the voicemail would be full by now. It turns on and off, but Micah can never get a lock. I’ve popped to a few places Micah said the signal was bouncing off of. He insisted it wasn’t where the caller was. He was right, but I’ve checked. Max has checked. I just don’t understand why this girl thinks I hate her. I don’t hate many people. She’s fighting the people I loathe. We are on the same side. I keep telling her that….but I get radio silence. The only thing that gets me through….is…” I smiled, “Watching Melanie dance.” Alexander nodded.             I laughed, “When am I going to see one of these videos, so I know what she looks like?” Alexander blushed, “I’m not even supposed to have them. They are weird about her. Micah doesn’t even know what I use the backdoor doodad he installed in Jason’s computer does for me.” I rolled my eyes, “I am aware, but come on. I’m your sister.” Alexander shrugged, “They are what I have of her. She’s so beautiful Cass. I’m….I feel like such an ass because they are seriously talking Juilliard and I…” He broke off. I touched his shoulder, “Hey...I’ve got a plan all on my own big brother. I have a time limit for this s**t. We all know she’ll get in. The way everyone talks about the way she dances. Maybe all the weirdness will stop, and she’ll come home for a visit. Levi is PISSED no one listens to him about how weird all this is.” Alexander raised an eyebrow, “Levi likes her too?” I rolled my eyes, “Not like you do, no. He has liked her since he met her though. Says it’s the same thing he feels with Elise and Buttercup kind of deal.” Alexander gaped, “EXFUCKINGCUSE ME?! Levi met Melanie?!” My jaw dropped, “Ummm….you didn’t know that? The night of our birthday party…..I missed it….when you stopped Charlooney’s plot…..Melanie made a jailbreak for it. Jason, Tristan, Levi, and EJ went to stop her from hitchhiking to our party.” Alexander’s jaw ticked, “If you’ll excuse me….I need to go hunt down our cousin.”              I winced, “I thought you knew.” Alexander snorted, “I know exactly why I didn’t know.” Now that I thought about it...I did too. Someone could’ve warned a girl though. Alexander kissed my cheek and popped away. I groaned and laid back in the grass. I heard Cayden laugh. I bolted up. Cayden smirked, “You two were so lost in your talk I actually snuck up on you.” I frowned, “You heard about….?” I didn’t want to say anything unless he heard us. Cayden laughed, “About Melanie McAlister? I did. I won’t say anything. It’s not like I know anything about her. I’ve never met her. I’m not friends with Jason or Tristan really. Elise mentions her dancing, but I can’t claim I’ve paid that much attention to the talk. I know she’s smart and likes to dance.” I laughed, “That about sums up what I know. Neither Alexander nor yours truly has ever met her. I thought they’d made her up until EJ admitted he’d met her. Then I was convinced they put him in an illusion or something. Levi met her though, so I knew she had to be real. He doesn’t do bullshit.”              Cayden laughed, “Something Alexander apparently didn’t know.” I cringed, “Oh god… I need to warn Levi!” Cayden smiled, “Have no fear my duchess… I already did that.” I smiled, “You’re perfect… you know that?” Cayden kissed me the pulled back, “I’m glad you think so.” I sighed, “You have to go now…. Don’t you?” Cayden kissed me, “I’ll be back later.” I nodded, “Alright, if you can try to convince Ashley to meet me. I know she’s said no before but maybe...eventually…. I really want to thank her. I know I can only say thanks for the whole Cora selling me out tip….that’s big enough on its own… but I know there are other missions she’s had my back. She HAS to be the sniper who fires six times.” Cayden smiled, “She’s on your six. She does know a lot about us. You know I agree. I think it’s her. I just wish I could prove it. Then she’d have to talk to me about it.” I raised an eyebrow, “You could make her talk about it.” Cayden sighed, “No… I can’t. I don’t know how to explain it Cass. She feels like my little sister. She’s also an excellent source. I can’t hurt her. Bribery doesn’t work with her. It’s like she wants me to know….it’s like she hopes I’ll put all these pieces together, but she isn’t making it easy. I can’t explain it, but it’s almost as if she’s scared of what will happen if I do. I’ve told her….none of us will ever hurt her. It’s….after she didn’t get her wolf. Something changed.”             I frowned, “That still doesn’t make sense….she should have a wolf.” Cayden pursed her lips, “Micah went to a coffee place in town around her pack to listen to the gossip. They say….her not having a wolf means the man she believes is her dad, isn’t. That her biological father is a man who raped her mother.” I gaped, “Oh come on! Wolves have to be in heat!” Cayden shrugged, “I don’t know the full story, Cass. I know that it’s rumored her brother completely turned against her when she didn’t shift. Her whole old pack did. I guess there’s some guy….she thinks he is her mate. He’s friends with her brother, and he took his side. Several men Micah overheard hoped she’d stop being an ice queen with them since this guy spurred her.” I frowned, “Who? Who the f**k would blame her for that? Even IF it’s somehow true….how was there a question about who her dad was?” Cayden shrugged, “Maybe the guy got to her mom….I don’t know.” I frowned, “I don’t think so Cayden...that’s a load of s**t. They are lying….or they knew all along who her biological father was. To do this to her is cruel. Plus, what we have says her mom is a full werewolf. She should still have a wolf.” Cayden shrugged. I frowned, “Who is the guy? The one she likes.” Cayden sighed, “We can’t find out. There’s nothing….to link anyone from Missouri to a romantic relationship with her. None of them are talking about her crush. Or her brother.” I looked him in the eye, “When you find out who he is….I want to talk to him. Is it more than a crush? Do you really think they could be mates?” Cayden sighed, “Micah thinks she believes it with her whole heart.”              I stood and started to pace, “You FIND this guy Cayden, and I WILL kick his ass! Who the HELL does he think he is? It’s not her fault….even IF it’s true...which the whole f*****g thing is just weird….that’s such s**t! None of my brothers would care if they were mated to someone without a wolf. NO member of my family would. Even my Hackura cousins wouldn’t care if they were mated to someone who didn’t like fighting here. That’s such bullshit to blame an innocent girl for...UGH! I HATE MISSOURI!” Cayden stood and wrapped his arms around me, “I know. I do too.” I sighed, “Does Ashley believe this?” Cayden sighed, “I think she’s in an identity crisis. She’s angry and she’s struggling. I don’t think she wants to believe it. She told Micah she shares features with her dad. She kicks anyone's ass who says he’s not her dad, but her lack of wolf….She’s spiraling.” I sighed, “I want to help her.” Cayden nodded, “I do too.” I sighed, “Alright. Go on….cheer her up somehow.” Cayden smiled, “I’ll do my best.” Max popped in with Micah. Cayden opened a portal and they left.             Max sat down in a huff. I raised an eyebrow, “Max?” Max sighed, “I don't know what he’s doing exactly….but I want to know...but I can’t know. You know me...I’d spill everything to Alexander. It’s driving me crazy. Whoever their source is…..Micah desperately wants to help her. I know it’s a her…..I want to help him, Cass. I just don’t know how.” I kissed his cheek, “Believe me...I know.” Max sighed, “You know about it though. About this girl, that's their source.” I nodded, “But I’ve never met their source. She doesn’t want to meet me. I’m sure she wouldn’t want to meet you either.” Max frowned, “Why not? We are awesome.” I snorted, “Why not….indeed.” Max smiled, “It annoys you.” I nodded, “Makes me curious. Everything I’ve looked into says no one we know has ever met this girl….but she doesn’t want to meet us? That’s weird. Most werewolves want to meet us.” Max tilted his head, “That’s true. Most werewolves would go to dad with whatever information she has. I can put the signs together. I’m around here enough.” I smiled, “I can’t say anything about it, Max.” Max nodded, “I know. I also know she’s giving the Hackura intel on drugs surfacing. I think there’s a little bit with the hunting rings too. Which is making me itch. A werewolf with hunters. It’s a bad idea.  What I can’t work out is her problem is with telling the werewolf council what she knows.” She was angry. I would be too if I didn’t get a wolf. I had a parent who wasn’t a wolf….I still had one. With a full blooded werewolf parent….A warrior. Her mom was a warrior, from a warrior bloodline. She should have a wolf even IF her dad wasn’t who she thought it was. That was bull s**t though. I could feel it. They were lying to her. But why? So she wouldn’t go to Missouri?
