Mellisa's POV
“She's just fine, not bad at all. Her body seems exhausted and her wolf needs adequate rest.” Dr. Freda's voice filled my ears.
I blinked my eye lids several times to adjust to the light.
“She's awake!” Fred exclaimed, rushing towards my side.
“You need to be more careful with yourself, Mellisa. I'm not speaking to you as your warrior but as your big brother. I've missed seeing you so much.”
I hug him firmly, basking in his warmth.
“He didn't let me hear the last of it. He blamed me for allowing you to go there.” Aiden said with relief obvious in his voice.
“I'm not fragile glass, Fred.” I nudged him with my elbow. “How's my baby?”
“He's with his grandparents, you were just out for about three hours so he hasn't noticed anything unusual.”
