Chapter 8 “I have to stop at supply to get your goggles,” Meg told the woman who’d once meant so much to her. “Yes. All right.” Genevieve trailed along after her. Why did she seem so hesitant? She certainly hadn’t when she’d told Meg they had no future together. Now it seemed they weren’t the only ones who might not have a future. She was going to need her radio. She stopped by her locker to retrieve it and clip it to her belt before leading Genevieve to the room that contained all the equipment the captain felt might be necessary for the department, but which hadn’t really been called for as yet.
