Chapter 10 Jenn sat beside Meg’s bed in the emergency department of Laurel Hill General. Meg had just come out of surgery, having had her leg debrided and stitched up, and once they found a room for her, she’d be admitted. The problem was Laurel Hill was a small town, and so the hospital was small. Many people had been injured in the battle with the insects, and beds were scarce.
