The Rapid Shadow

Chapter Four

During the night, Felix (who was an employee of Nollson Industry) was driving his car along the roads.

A journey later, he made a stop at his house as he parked in his driveway and eased on the breaks. Felix walked out of his car, then walked to his door. He opened the door and walked inside, then shut the door behind him and walked further across. He went to the door to his garage and opened it, then walked inside the garage. As he did, there were his crime-associate, storing Nollson's project (his missile rocket) on the shelf. Felix received a text message from the boss, saying [How's the phase?]. Felix typed and sent [I got Shadow's DNA results. Now I just need to find where; which is already in the results.] The boss replied [Well done. We're just half way]. Felix put his phone away.

"You got the formula of Shadow's superpowers yet?" Felix's associate asked.

"Not exactly." Felix responded. "But his DNA's listed, which brings me to where I'll find the formula. And when I do, I'll bring the formula here and for us to produce it, so we'll add it to the rocket. Then, send them to the boss. Got that?"

The associates agreed. Then Felix went to his metal drawer, opened it, and grabbed his industry-card for the other vehicle. Then he closed his drawer, left, from the garage, to his foyea, then went outside to his car, went inside, then backed out of his driveway and drove off.

That evening, after patrolling every street in the city, Tim drove to his house as he parked in the driveway. Tim got out of his car and walked to his house. As he went inside, his fiancé (Jennifer) came up to him.

"Hey, babe." she said as she wrapped her arms around Tim as Tim wrapped his around her. "How's the mission?"

"Lot of sweat but what the hell. Gotta do what you have to."

Tim sat down in the living room, taking his hood off.

Jennifer just grinned at him. "You know, even with the powers you have, I'm still amazed how you get no rest over the nights."

"What can I say, I hate sleeping." Tim replied as a joke.

Jennifer chuckled.

"Well like it or not, it helps when you get some rest." Jennifer said., "But you know that everytime you don't get any rest, you start to worry me. I don't want something to happen to you, and I love you. Don't you take any sleep? Step back for a moment, at least a minute? Have you had any chance to take a break?"

"I see your point." Tim said. "Still, I think it's just my way of not trying not to quit too. I feel like every time I rest, sit back, take a break while the mission's not even completed yet,... I keep thinking, 'am I failing? What am I doing? ', every minute as confusion keeps dancing in my head, thinking I'm losing balance of concentration, that I might screw up everything I have; my mission, my team,..it's like resting, is a torture for me, even when I try clearing my head. I'm not gonna screw things up and lose focus, so I just skip rest for me to keep moving. Believe me, it sucks, but it's the only strategy I have."

Jennifer walked up to Tim, and sat down beside him as she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Well you don't have to struggle like that." Jennifer said. 'Cause we know that no matter what happens, I'm here for you. And you're still everything to me since we met. Whether you have powers, or no powers, perfect or not, I'll love you either way, and I will not go anywhere. We know nothing will change that. You're enough for me. 'Cause I'd rather be with a guy who's always been here for me and who will always make me feel wanted. And there's nothing in the world that I would want more than you."

Tim turned his head at Jennifer. "You're everything to me too, Jen'.' he said. "And you're all that I want in my life. And I love you too."

Jennifer smiled at Tim.

"Also, can you make that..transformation thing again?" Jennifer asked. "...I like to see your real you."

"Not really a transformation but sure.," Tim replied.

So, as by Jennifer's request, Tim reformed himself, from his glowing Crystaline skin, to his normal human skin.

"How's that?" Tim asked.

"Love it." said Jennifer.

Then they began kissing and smooching as they wrapped their arms around each other and held tight.

Felix drove to the back of the Nollson-Industry building. He came to a stop as he was slowing the car down. He got out of the car, took his bag filled with his gadgets, along with his scanner, then he walked to the shutter door. Felix used his industry card to unlock the door, and as he placed his card towards the sensor to scan it, the shutter door accessed to open as it did. Felix walked in the shed, while there it stood, was the space-jet. Felix grabbed his industrial space suit, put it on, and went inside the jet with his equipment. Felix placed his card towards the sensor and received access to the space-jet to start. As the space-jet was driven by him, it was driven out of the shop and straight ahead outside. Then Felix started to raise the space-jet off the ground and with massive force, the jet started to fly high as it rose off the ground.

In outer-space, the jet flew ahead, off of earth by Felix, while Felix was looking for the location where Tim's powers were created as the jet flew through space. Many journeys later, Felix flew into a different galaxy as he was looking around. He looked from left to right as he was flying straight, and all he could see were divided stones floating around the area. Felix glared around at them. Then Felix got out of the jet with his industrial suit on and brought his scanner, then as he accessed his jetpack, he flew ahead in the environment. Felix looked around the area as he entered into the destructed planet called "Genorssa", but all he could see were shattered homes and structures flying around. He looked below and saw a solid golden door below him. He looked up above, and there he saw, were dead guardians, floating around in the air.

"The formula has to be close," Felix said to himself.

Felix scanned each and every object in the destroyed environment. But after every object he scanned, it never showed the formula, but just the description of the planet; saying that it was fulminated long ago into a broken planet, and when he scanned a space-being, the description listed information on the screen, of not only the DNA, but the location of where it was produced from. Then, suddenly, he saw blue-glowing smoke behind the stones. Felix flew straight to that area and stopped as he arrived. He looked around and saw more piles of stones than the amount he saw as he arrived in that area. He also saw more blue smoke spreading around, and another dead space-being, with a dark orange but broken sword. Felix took out his scanner, and scanned the giant dead space-being along with the sword, and the results showed the same DNA information as it did with the other space-being. But for the sword, it showed some results of the "Regmor" sword, saying that it was contained in a chemical called "Regmor liquid", that is afffective to Genorssians with high radiation against them. So he scanned the Regmor liquid, and the results showed the entire formula of it. Then, he scanned the area of the blue glowing smoke around him. Felix was waiting for the results to show up, after he was done scanning. But when the results appeared, there it showed, was the formula of the Genorssa-Stabilizer (Tim's superpowers). Felix grinned as he looked at the screen of his scanner with the formula.

"'Eureka'," he said to himself.

So Felix flew back to his jet, went inside, and flew within the jet as he took off, with the formula.
