Chapter Twelve

487 Words
Kylah's POV *One month and one week later* Here we are time for graduation! I couldn't wait because immediately after graduation I am going to my pack house and packing my belongings and going to Nick's pack and going to be living there. We are going to have to seal the mate bond soon too, I thought. Things have been going great the last month or so with Nick stealing little kisses here and there and sneaking off for hot and heavy make-out sessions but never taking it further than that. In that time, Andrew had found his mate, now just a reminder including my own three different packs go to our high school. His mate was from the Golden Dawn pack situated in the Garland area of DFW. Her name was Serenity. When he had introduced us, I realized I had seen her around, but we never spoke and she never bullied me. I told her she had a very pretty name and asked her if she was happy she had found a mate and everything of that nature. She responded with "thank you for the compliment and yeah I am super happy I found my mate couldn't wait to go to Silver Moon." We happened to look up and saw the guys heading our way and smiling at us like we had just made their day. At this time I was thinking to myself that me and Serenity were going to be great friends or at least, I hoped, we were. She's going to be Beta female while I am going to be Luna, so we are going to be seeing a lot of each other for the foreseeable future. Nick's POV To see Kylah and Serenity getting along so well is something amazing to see. She deserves a friend, especially after everything she's been going through at home, but at the same time I can't get out of my head that just 30 minutes ago I had her back against the side of my Tahoe and my tongue down her throat. She had told me she was saving herself for her mate as well as myself, but to hear she's never had a boyfriend or a fling but to kiss as well as she does is astounding to me. I told her just a couple more days, and we can seal the mate bond and mark each other as ours, and I told her I couldn't wait, but then we had to go to graduation practice. Why do we have to practice for this? We are just walking across a stage when our names get called. We get to the auditorium and I leave Kylah with Serenity and Andrew and I walk off as we have some pack business to deal with because, at that exact moment, my father called. And that's when we walked back in to see them getting along so well.
