Chapter Six

311 Words
Kylah's POV As Nick and myself were standing there talking, about to start walking to class, the school bully, who happened to be in my pack, I still don't know her name, walked up to us. "Hey, Nick!" she said coyly while trying her damnest to flirt. "What're you doing with this lump of trash?" she said as she looks me up and down. Before he could even respond to her, I said "What even is your name?" She looked taken aback by my question. "How can you not know my name, we are in the same pack?" she asked, clearly annoyed. I looked at her and simply said "Why would I waste my time learning the pack members' names when everyone has treated me like the dirt on their shoes for the last 10 years?" Nick didn't like that statement very much and proceeded to release a very menacing-sounding growl. Nick's POV I heard what she said about her pack treating her like crud. How can anyone's pack treat someone like that, let alone the Alpha's daughter? I growled in outrage. I didn't quite shake the school, but I startled her pack's bully, whose name I believe is Georgina. I looked at her and said, "Georgina, right?" She looked at me pale-faced and slightly nodded her head."I'm going to need you to step away from me and my mate and never speak to her again, is that understood?" She very clearly did not like the fact that I said mate. "MATE!" She screamed, "HOW CAN SHE OF ALL PEOPLE GET A MATE, BUT NOT ME!" She yelled bitterly. My mate looked at her and, stone-faced, said "The moon goddess doesn't bless those who abuse their supposed family. My own brother is 21 and he still has no mate." and with that, she turned and walked away from everyone, me included.
