His Abused Luna

Chapter Eleven

Nick's POV

I was home just talking with my family, which consists of, obviously, my father, my mother, but also my younger sister.

As I was talking with them, I got a text from Kylah, and it read "I'm about to call you, I will need you to answer, but don't say anything, just listen." I didn't get a chance to respond before her call came through. I told my family to be silent and told my father we needed to listen to this. It's Alpha Michaels' daughter. She's my mate and I said I'd explain more later, but we needed to listen. I answered the phone and the first thing we heard was Alpha Michaels saying "WHAT'S THIS I HEAR YOU HAVE A MATE?!" and whom I am assuming is her brother "and soon to be alpha of Silver Moon at that?" and then we heard what sounded like dishes shattering and dropping on the floor with the occasional "You worthless runt, how dare you?" this that and the third. By the time the call had ended, there was an eerie silence. My mother and sister were horrified, whereas my father and I were so angry we were shaking. Nobody could understand how someone could just beat their child like that just for finding their mate. After the call, I told my parents her story and the reason behind why her father and brother abuse her so badly, but it wasn't just them but the entire pack as well. I told my parents how I came to know she was my mate and how there was a girl at school who's part of her pack, but isn't happy about her having been mated. She did say that not all of her pack members abuse her, some have even tried to help, but her father punishes them for it. I asked him if there was anything we could do for her, or if we had to wait until graduation in a month. I also told them that she asked if she could come here after graduation, but since we are mates, that's happening regardless. My father said he would take it to the Wolf council and that he had recorded the call with his phone.

Kylah's POV

I got up the next morning sporting fresh bruises again. I told my wolf "I'm worried that me calling Nick was a bad idea." I could tell she was still sleeping. She isn't much of a morning wolf of sorts. Anyway, I get up, go shower, clean the dried blood off my body and out of my hair. I get out, dry off and get dressed and make my way downstairs and start my normal morning routine. I got to school to find the school basically hushed, so to speak, almost like something had happened while I was asleep. I got to my locker and found Nick and Andrew standing there, both furious, and I could tell Nick had told him about the call. I don't say anything as I approach them and get my things. Nick was first to speak, "Take off your hood," he asked gently. With a deep sign I removed my hood. I didn't apply make-up as I still had some open healing wounds. Neither one of the guys said a word about my black eye or busted lip, but at that moment Georgina walked up and saw all the marks, and exclaimed "Ah, so my news got to Alpha Michaels and James!" and walked away laughing. At that moment, Nick pulled out his phone and fired off what looked like a text, but to whom that's a different story. He was already in the middle of saying he was with his family when I called, so his dad had heard the whole thing and that he is to be consulting with the Wolf council on this matter. They were going to do everything in their power to help. I just needed to hang on a little longer.
