The next morning, by the time Louisa woke up, Dominic had already headed out. When she got to the clinic, Madison was already sitting at the front desk, looking down while clipping her nails. Seeing Louisa walk in, she barely lifted her eyelids and said, "Hey, you're finally here." Louisa changed into her scrubs and replied, "Yeah." "How's your foot feeling? Any better?" "Way better, thanks." "That's good," Madison smiled. "Hey, a patient is coming in for a checkup in a bit. Can you take him up to the third floor? My nails are a mess, so the director told me to trim them first." Louisa paused. "Wait, aren't you supposed to handle registration and show patients where to go?" Madison shrugged and held out her hands. "Well, I'm not done clipping them yet. Just do me a favor, will you?
