"It's really been tampered with!" Iris caught a hint from Charles' evasive look.
"Yeah..." Charles finally admitted, "Bernard and William wanted to make sure your thesis got stuck in review."
"William?" Iris thought for a moment and said, "Randall mentioned that name. I remember now. He told you to work on 'my business' with him."
She no longer referred to Randall as "stepfather."
Iris had poured so much time and energy into that thesis, and now, finding out it had been sabotaged felt like someone had torn her child apart.
