Broin and Gale had gone to bed shortly after dinner. Nikan, however, had remained awake for some time after. She paced the area between the door and table before she finally laid down, and though she had gone to sleep, her ears were still as alert as ever. When Gale woke the next morning, she fixed breakfast for herself and Broin, taking Nikan with her to the marketplace afterwards. She still needed to buy a few herbs, having remembered that there were a few they were running low on. The wolf stuck close to Gale as they walked, and Gale found herself wondering what it was that had been bothering her. She looked around a little herself, though she didn't see anything. This being the case, she put herself at ease and continued to the market.
