Gale and Broin sat in silence for a time, Gale's fingers caressing the crystal. The silence that the crystal brought was almost as deafening as the sounds that had been in her head. Broin watched her, a shudder rushing over the young woman. He didn't speak for the time, wanting to give her the time to adjust to the silence.
