CHAPTER THIRTEEN Frustrated, Jake hung up his cell phone for the third time since they’d hit the road an hour ago. The first call was to Trudy, his contact at Friends of Patty, who’d told him that, unfortunately, there was little chance of figuring out which contacts Alyssa and her mother had encountered on their journey to a new life.
