lucas pov

after running for what feels like hours we head back to the pack house, the moon high in the sky all we can hear are grasshoppers and owls hooting we find 2 robes have been left out for us for our return, after weve shifted back we head upstairs : you wanna come join me in the shower?" anya asks winking at me, dont have to ask me twice as i run over and scoop her up in my arms. i sit her on the counter and turn the shower on to heat up, kissing her soft lips slow and gentle i reach between us and undo her robe running my hands over her smooth skin i bend down and kiss her neck she shudders as i kiss the area between her neck and shoulder, the area that will one day soon bare my mark, i feel her hands fumble over the tie on my robe before sliding it off my shoulders, i pick her up and carry her to the shower lowering her down i reach for the shampoo washing her silky hair, i hear her sigh as im washing the conditioner away "come my angel lets get some sleep, it has been a very long day with lots of information to process and tomorrow were going shopping too."

Anya pov

the next day we all enjoy breakfast together before myself and lucas head into the packs town to go shopping i didnt have much and the clothes i had on belonged too gamma leona.

2 weeks later

anya pov

i wake to the sun peaking threw the curtains its a bright and beautiful day already so i put on my robe and go to sit on the balcony to take a minute it has felt like a very long 2 weeks trying to process everything my parents told me about why they left and putting pen to paper writing down everything that happened to me over the years i spent as a slave at sapphire falls, thankfully lucas and mitch had witnessed what happened after the jugs broke and i know ann and marie would testify if we needed them too, they had been through as much as i had and they probably had worse after i left too, so at least i knew i had witnesses if i needed them and everyone had insisted on pictures of the bruises being taken, because i hadnt had my 1st shift at the time my quick healing hadnt kicked in so every bruise cut and whip mark was very much visable, my ribs were so promenant too from the limited meals but now that i have shifted into red several times all the bruises have now healed.

lucas pov

were sitting in the garden listening to the birds chirp when we here a knock at the door, "the king has arrived my angel" "are you ready?" she nods her head and slowly stands up taking my hand, we head inside to the dining area where we have the space for everyone who is needed for this meeting, its going to be a long afternoon.

sitting at the table we're listening to Anya recount everything that has happened to her over her time at sapphire falls, "remember to keep calm, you cant help her if your locked up!!" i hear my mothers voice threw the mindlink as i break the glass im holding, "my apologies, your highness" i mumble as i start to clean up the glass, "you have nothing to apologise for, hearing everything your mate has been through these past years is enough to make anyone angry, with the evidence we have so far thats enough to strip him of his title and his pack, however i need to hear the rest if we are going to lock him away" the king calmly replies.

carry on my angel, i tell Anya, 4 hours later she has recounted everything up to the day i saved her, "lets leave that hear for today, lucas our other business will be dealt with first thing tomorrow" says the king we all stand as he leaves the room.

i take anya by the hand "were going for a run to let of some steam if anyone wants to join us?" thankfully they declined so we shift and head to our lake when we arrive we shift back and jump into the cool water looking up its a full moon tonight "eekk a shooting star, quick make a wish" she squeals "its your turn to make the wish sweetheart i have everything i could possibly want right here" i whisper to her, taking a slow walk back holding hands under the stars she stops suddenly a panicked look on her face, "do you smell that?" she enquires nervously looking around, "rogues" i say nodding, we both shift and turn to cover each others backs while i mindlink everyone rogues have made it onto the territory, within minutes we are sounded, i instantly recognise the big tan wolf as my beta mitch, we hear snarling and a voice hinding behind the trees says "let us have the girl and youll all go unharmed" instantly i mindlink everyone do not get protective of anya they dont know what her wolf looks like, i shift back so i can communicate "what girl?"

"dont play dumb u know the girl we're looking for, she doesnt belong to you" the voice snarls, "leave now and we'll let you live" a voice appears from behind me, i turn to see the king standing before me, the voice emerges from the shadows revealing a young wolf not even 20 years of age "We just want our masters girl back then well leave, not exactly asking for much are we lads?"

"you keep saying you want this girl, but wont tell us about her how do you ecepct us to know who she is?" the king negoatiates

"she belongs to..........ouch, what was that for" a quite voice whines from behind a group of rouges "keep your mouth shut runt" the leader of the rouges shouts. Bingo i think to myself if we can seperate that youngster we can get answers.

Anya pov

im terrified i recognise the guy talking on behalf of the rouges, liam i think his name is, ive seen him talking to Alpha Michael a couple of times, thankfully no one at sapphire falls knows what red looks like so as long as i stand tall and dont make sudden movements to run i should be safe here for now at least. All of a sudden Liam shifts causing everyone to leap forward protecting me and the king. Lucas shifts too and mind links me and mitch to seperate a youngster from the rest he can be questioned to find out whats going on. i recognise the youngster too altho i cant remember his name he tried to help me with chores once, i never saw him again so presumed he got into a lot of trouble for helping, its good to know hes okay,

staying low i crawl through the bushes flanked by lucas and mitch im the less scary of the 3 of us so it made sense for me to approch, him, i shift back and get his atttention, he comes with us willingly whispering to me, if we are able to get him to safety hell tell us everything he knows, we head to the pack house where robes are waiting for us, heading inside we see lucas's parents waiting at the table, everyone takes a seat just as the door bangs open and the king stands before us, "its over they're all gone. " he states. everyone looks at the kid who slowly slides to his seat with a big sigh, "im free? am i really free?" he enquires.

lucas answers him "depending on how you answer our questions yes, your free."

4hours later we finishing questioning the boy we find out his name is jamie and hes only 16 (explains why he didnt shift and why he hid) we also find out Alpha Michael has been working with rouges to try to find me since i left nearly 3 weeks ago. 1am were all exhausted so everyone heads to bed we give jaimie a room and station 2 guards at his door as a precaution.

the next day, jaimie is free to walk the pack grounds as long as he has someone with him at all times and hes not to leave the grounds untill everything is sorted, this is for his protection just as much as it is ours right now while we get to the bottom of this, the king has headed home for a few days but will be back soon to come up with a plan, with all the evidence we have now its only a matter of time before Alpha Michael is caught in the act.
