THE KING POV

sitting at my desk going threw papers, all contracts between packs and pack members have to go through me for approval before they can take effect, with me only being on the throne for 8 years it means that my father would have been the one to deal with the contract, just as i find a file labeled TOP SECRET at the bottom of a box full of saphire falls contracts my beta Archer bursts threw the door "your highness, im sorry for the sudden intrusion but we have to leave for midnight eclipse.....now! Alpha Michael has returned to midnight eclipse, he is kicking off again demanding Luna Anya is returned to him, and theres more to it this time sir" "hes claiming that he is owed compensation of £500,000 if she is no longer pure too!!" jumping up from my desk i grab the file and run following my beta to the already running cars, seeing me run from my office i end up with several of my guards chasing after us (at least i know theyll follow me no matter what as they dont know where im heading i think to myself) arriving at the cars i find my gamma Evan and Delta Niko awaiting my orders, "Evan your in charge Niko your second in command this is untill i return, prepare the warriors send 20 to catch up with us, im taking the 10 that are here now" "move out"

being king comes with its perks, i can mindlink the Alphas and Betas of all the packs in my kingdom so i mindlink ahead and inform Lucas and Mitch that we are on our way and to remain calm, DO NOT RETALIATE TO ANYTHING HE SAYS!"

Archer and i sit in the back of my limo going threw the file, i cant believe my father signed off on this he basically agreed to the sale of a minor for the lives of 2 shifters, as king my father should of disbanded this, with my father passing 6years ago we wont be able to find out from him, my mother may have an idea she was luna queen for many years.

Alpha Michael

you are stealing i own her she is mine, she will be returned to me with her purity intacked, if i find out it is not you will also owe £500,000 i have a contract that the previous king as signed off on she is MINE!!!,

i will not lose her she is the key to my pack surviving, she is the one to carry my heir and now she is off age and the fact im not getting any younger i really need to put these plans into action, my luna my beautiful mate, this is going to cause her so much pain, but she understands it has to be this way, since we found out she is unable to carry my pups we came up with this plan, but as the day we were supposed to start the plans has already passed we were now into a time crunch, if we are going to put a stop to that witches end of the deal she needs to be pregnant with my pup before the next full moon in 2 weeks time.

The Kings pov

i cannot believe what i am reading right now, my father signed off on this contract, Michael was never meant to be Alpha the title was meant to go to michaels brother jeremy, i had always wondered what had changed and why jeremy suddenly disapeared one day, we had all presumed he met his mate she was a human and they went to live in the human world, according to this file that was not the case. Michael had wanted to be alpha so badly that he made a deal with a witch, she would get rid of jeremy so michael could become alpha BUT he had to get rid of Anyas parents and use Anya to create an heir before the last full moon the year she turns 18, otherwise jeremy comes back and takes over saphire falls and michael becomes the witches servent for the rest of his life.

Mitch this contract is messed up we need to find out who this witch is, we need to find jeremy too. "sir, does it say anything about her needing to be pure or compensation off £500,000" "no mitch nothing, so that is something michael is adding to the deal, i wonder if their witch friend is aware of this....

Anya pov

hearing all the banging and shouting is making me a nervous wreck, all the what ifs filling my head, what if the king makes me leave with them?, what if lucas no longer wants me because of all the drama? i have red in my head telling me everything is going to be okay and that lucas and phoenx love us and wont let us be taken away! Lucas himself wont let me out of his sight which that in itself should tell me i have nothing to worry about, but what everyone is forgetting is i grew up with these people michael will stop at nothing to get what he wants and the fact he worked with rogues should show that he cannot be trusted.

sitting in lucas's office with lucas my parents his parents and our beta, were trying to come up with a plan to get around this supposed contract the king is 10 mins out lucas tells us. he has a copy of the contact and according to the king it makes for an interesting read.

we sit in silence thinking of ways to difuse the situation its the longest 10 minutes of my life.

The Kings Pov

finally i arrive at midnight eclipse that felt a lot longer than a 3 hr drive, i dont let anyone hold the contract not even my beta Daniel that i trust with my life, they all rise as i enter lucas's office, "where is michael now?" i enquire, lucas gives me his seat at his desk telling me they have placed him in one of the spare houses, taking a seat i open the contract and go through what i have found with them, 3 hours later, lucas shouts "IVE FOUND SOMETHING" he proceeds to read a small print claus at the bottom of the contract stating that the contract will be voided should Anya meet her mate and be marked before the first full moon after she shifts, which she was i marked her the night i rescued her and then shifted not long after, the people here will be able to vouch for us in the fact we arrived and she was marked, the inn keeper was a shifter and wasnt from either pack so hell be able to vouch too"

ANYA pov

lucas takes my hand and we go for a walk while the others sort our witnesses out, i need to breathe its all to much to take in, im finally free and enjoying life and the man who destroyed my childhood is here to ruin everything.

walking hand in hand with lucas under the trees listening to the birds tweet and the river flowing past us, as were walking he steps behind me and covers my eyes, we walk like this for another 5 minutes before he moves his hands to reveal a clearing, were he has a huge blanket and a picnic basket laid out lucas pulls me against him and leans down to gently kiss me, his hands running over my body sending chills up my spine, he picks me up and i wrap my legs around his waist as he deepens our kiss and gently lays me down on blanket, he slowly reaches down to remove my top when Beta Mitch's voice comes through the mindlink "im sorry you guys need to come back NOW"
