Looking at her back again, I can't hold it anymore. My heart's about to burst with this feeling… I thought. I'm gonna die – I grabbed her arm when she walked past me. She looked shocked. I pulled her and we went to the shelves. I pushed her. "You – " I looked in her eyes. I saw confusion, fear, and… Lust. I thought. I kissed her. She held her breath. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her to me as I leaned my other arm to the shelf. I was surprised when she wrapped her arms on my neck and kissed me back. I groaned. I slipped my tongue inside his mouth. "Vice…" I moaned. Our tongues played. She gasped. She stopped, then looked at me, shocked. "Ye… Yelena…" she said, nervous. "This…" she said. Suddenly, I laughed. "Vice…" I called. "We're friends, right?" I asked. She froze. I sighed. "Friends are not doing things like this." I said. "So if we continue – " I said, then hugged her tighter. "Yelena…" she called and hugged me. "It's alright." she said. "This is okay with me." she said and hugged me tighter. I felt his tears fall on my shoulders. It's as if she's comforting and convincing herself instead of me. "Vice…" I said and kissed her forehead. I looked at her, and I held my breath when I saw those silver-colored eyes. "Vice…" I called, my face serious. I sighed. "You know my purpose here, right?" I asked. She didn't answer. "It's to fulfill the prophecy." I said. "Even if I love Vincent or not, I'm still going to marry him to unite the two kingdoms. And I'm still gonna leave here – wait. Vice!" I called when she suddenly pushed me. "Hey. I already told you this before this all happened, so why – " I said. "You know very well why." She said, her voice and gaze cold. I felt my blood rushed to my head. "Hey." I said, angry. "I already told you that you don't love me – " I said. "Yeah. You told me that." She said. "And I told you we'll be friends." "So why – " I said and stopped when I saw her red lips and flushed cheeks. Her silver eyes were also misty. "I can see you want to pounce me right here, right now." She said and smirked. I looked at her, my face burned in embarrassment. She grinned. "Now you're telling me you don't want me?" she said, then scoffed. "Hypocrite." She told me. "Hey. I didn't tell you that I don't want you – " I said. I was surprised when her tears fell. "It's still the same as making me realize you'll never love me back." she said, then looked at me straight in my eyes. "I want you, Yelena." she said. "I want you all to myself, you know that." she told me. "I … I love you." she said softly. I felt my heart was crushed by an invisible hand. "Vice…" I said. I sighed. "I'm attracted to you." I told her. She laughed. "But that's not the same as 'love', right?" she said. I nodded. She laughed, a painful laugh filled with bitterness. "Now that this is all clear to me – " she said, then went to the terrace. "Vice?" I called. "Wait - !" I said and ran after her when she suddenly jumped. "Vice - !" I called. But, she's gone. "Where did she - ?" I asked. "s**t!" I cursed and kicked the table. "Why am I so angry?" I asked and messed my hair. Phillix's POV "So… " Chris said. She sighed. "We're sorry for your loss – " she told Vice. "Hey!" I said. Chris looked at me, frowning. "Her heart just died!" she told me as she pointed to Vice. I sighed and looked at Vice who's sitting on the tree, napping. "Vice." I called. She didn't answer. I sighed. "I'm really sorry for what that i***t did – " I said. She still didn't answer. I sighed, then left. "You look after him – ugh!" I cried and clutched my chest when it suddenly hurt. "Sage? What's wrong?" Chris asked. Vice woke up and looked at me. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you alright?" she asked, worried. "Sage?" Vice called. "You… look pale." she said, looking at me. I smiled. "I'm… okay – " I said, sweat falling down my face. "You… what happened?" Rio asked when she arrived. "You alright? You're sweating a lot – ugh!" she cried and flew away. She got zapped when she tried to touch me. "What… is this - ?" she asked. I smiled, reassuring them. "I'm… really okay." I said. "You… call the others." I told them, panting. "Yelena… and the West…" I took a deep breath. "Huh? Why? What's happening - ?" they asked. I looked at them. "I… felt the evil king." I answered. Their eyes went wide. I sighed. Everything's been set to motion the moment I went back here. I thought and sighed. It's really about time. I closed my eyes. Yelena's POV "Hey. Why the heck should I be wearing this – ugh!" I groaned when I looked at the clothes again. "Why this princess costume?! Why should I wear this?!" I asked them as I grabbed the frilly and fluffy ball of skirt. "That'd look good on you, Your Highness." Emil sincerely complimented. I know that. I thought, feeling narcissistic. I had worn this type of clothes before when I acted, but I don't want to wear them again. They're too heavy! And since this is a genuine princess clothes, this is definitely heavier than the one I had worn before! This is simply killing me by suffocating me! "That's yours, right?" Oril asked as he looked at the dress being carried by Emil after he took it from a maid to help her. "You really should wear that since you're the princess – " he told me. I sighed. "Princess. Just put it on. It'll be all over soon after the – " Chris told me. I blew out an irritated sigh. "Anymore to add, Sage?" I asked Phillix. He chuckled and shook his head. I sighed. They all laughed. I went to my walk-in closet to change.
