18. ToreliaIn the light of the new morning Aiden gazed down on Torelia. The waterfall filled his ears with endless roaring and sent a fine spray into the air, catching rainbows in the sunlight and coating the nearby rocks so that they glistened. The swirling water entranced as it tumbled down from its great height, taller even than the old watch towers of Teraan City. The river flowed a clear greyish-blue, rushing to the northwest, its waters flecked with the remnants of froth from the great cascade. On either side the stony cliffs of the canyon rose up, a few hardy plants clinging to the cracks in the rock.
