22. ErinAiden walked slowly through the dripping forest. His mind was made up and now all that remained was to tell Branwyn and Andor. His steps dragged but his anger was gone. Skaldar had given him his choice and he had made it of his own accord. Before long he had arrived back within sight of the gorge. He was further downstream than he thought, the cabins of the Feather Guard nestled high in the trees a short distance away. A couple of Eagles roosted in the eyries, flicking water from their wings as they sheltered under the canopy. They cast their keen gaze down on him as he approached but quickly returned to preening their feathers. As he drew closer, voices drifted down from the main cabin, not quite angry, but certainly anxious. It sounded like Branwyn and Tristan, and maybe Signy
