Chapter Fifteen “Did you have to wake up now?” Bert asked me. I’m afraid I was fully awake. The trance or whatever I had been in was over. And I could not get it back. “Just when things were getting interesting,” Bert said. “You were pretty much out of it for about an hour, but managed to tell me the whole story—up to that time when we’re wading in after Odred and Turlow.” “That skunk!” I said. “Well, at least he’s—” Then I stopped short. I was not sure exactly what he was. I got out of bed, and went into the kitchen and made us some coffee and some breakfast cereal. I was hungry. I wolfed down the cereal, and popped two English muffins in the toaster, and went through those as well. I took a shower, while Bert went back to his work on InQuire. He had to get the “damn thing out soon,”
