Where is Alaina?

1042 Words
Roman’s Pov Nothing was working, this wasn't helping, no number of brunette I f****d today could get her out of my mind, just a taste of her and I was loosing it already. She doesn't want me, she had never wanted me even with the way I tried to show how much I craved her… She was just a woman, I could get another, I had told myself this lie everyday. The brunette’s teeth grazed my c**k and I was over it, I pushed her head away from my c**k “Get Out.” Just like the others, she stared back confused. I was past giving a f**k. I leaned back into the sofa, grabbing the stack of cash beside me, holding it out to her as she took it quickly. I stared back at the ceiling blankly, ignoring the brunette presence, only until I heard the shutting sound of my door. Until I knew she was gone, I went back to ruminating on the s**t Alaina had told me: ‘Make me your w***e and still f**k around with other women like you always do, you sick freak…’ I raked my tongue across my teeth, my lips raised in a half smile. Luke had always been a cheat, but she was into that fucker. “Stupid girl,” I exhaled harshly, finally getting up from my sullen state, wearing my robe to cover my naked form as I picked my unfinished cigarette from the desk. Everything after she left wouldn't stop me from thinking about her, from asking someone to find her and bring her back in before my family really puts her in jail… I had promised I wouldn't save her and I should be a man of my words, but f**k me! I grabbed the remote switch on the television to make the room lively a bit, and it was on some stupid ass news channel. I was going to switch it off back when the reporter's voice cut in: ‘... Breaking news on the recent Lancaster's…’ I frowned seeing an old picture of Alaina smiling at the edge. “What have you gotten into this time?” It was only a matter of time before she came running back to me, and I knew this would bring her back. My smile faltered as the lady continued: “An incident happened at a bridge…” My frown deepened. “Outskirts of the city and the lady involved is confirmed to be Alaina Dawson, ex-wife of Luke La…” “Get to the f*****g point, bitch.” I said between gritted teeth, my grip tight on the remote. The screen changed from the picture of Alaina and the reporter to a blurred video of a lady standing on the edge of a bridge. My breath stopped as my eyes caught her brunette hair and the dress she had worn out of my house this morning flowing gently with the air as she grabbed on the bridge rail. “Muffins…” her nickname escaped my lips in a shallow breath. “Ms. Dawson... fell from the bridge.” “You wouldn't dare,” I threatened like she would listen to me as she hooked her leg over the rail. Time seemed to still around me as I watched her disappear from the edge of the bridge into the water beneath. “No, f*****g no…” dread filled me. She doesn't know how to swim; she can't even do the slightest swimming trick… like my brain had gone into a short circuit, I was running out of the room in no minute, heading to my car, forgetting I was in a robe. That was my muffles. I was a s**t ass for doing that to her. Once I got her out of that water, I was going to tell her how sorry I was… I would admit that I took advantage of her and that I was sorry. Her angry face flashed before me as my hand trembled on the steering wheel as I drove out of the villa with no caution. “Fucccck!!!” I yelled at the damn car as it couldn't move faster. I shouted at the motherfucker on the road blocking my car like a deranged man, and finally I got to that bridge, hoping I was not too late as police lights irritated my view, sounds of sirens splitting my ears, barricades and people watching from a distance like a normal crime scene as I matched out of the car, walking past police on standby to where I had seen her fall off. One of the police finally stopped me from going near where she had fallen off. “Mr. Lan…” “Where is she?” I asked like I really was going to burn down this place if they didn't provide her. Where the f**k were they when she had fallen off into that river?! “Where is Alaina?!” He had no answer and I was ready to pull him off me, when I saw Luke walking towards me…the shitass was here. “You need to go home, brother.” He stared at me like I was a bane in his existence when he was actually the bane in mine. “YOU DID THAT TO HER!” I lunged at him as hands held me back, and I jerked away violently, coming face to face with him. We have done this lots of times but I really was going to kill him this time. “You are ruining your reputation as a lawyer, Roman Lancaster.” he said calmly. “The divers are in the water trying to get her out, she was my wife.” “Your wife?” I scoffed. “Yes and you should know that she was unstab…” before he could complete that word, my fist came met with his jaw. I don't care if I was going to lose everything because of this, I caught him again. I was going to break his face to mush until the police separated him from me. I knew I had lost her. I wasn't going to get her back. I was scared of what they’d bring out of that water.
