Chapter 3

994 Words
Lucas From the moment I stepped out of Katrina’s room and started scoping out a replacement, I was instantly disappointed. Nearly every girl here is wasted, and I’d likely end up with one of them passing out on me or being just plain sloppy. I would rather go home. Everything changed when I started for the door. I froze when she walked by. I’ve never seen her before, so she must be new. Or maybe I just never noticed her, but someone like her is hard to miss. She’s in a short black dress with short sleeves. It’s basically a long black t-shirt that fits her perfectly, showing off long, toned legs. Her chestnut hair falls halfway down her back. She has the brightest green eyes I’ve ever seen. She walked toward the kitchen, pulling at her dress on the sides. It is really short, but honestly, she doesn’t have to hide anything. I waited outside the door to the kitchen to see if maybe she would walk out soon. After a while, I decided to just walk in, curious to find out what she was doing in there for so long. When I walked in, she was pouring her cup out in the sink. She stood on her toes to do it, flexing those calf muscles. She’s the one. Once I could finally get her out of the kitchen, I took her to the dock. Classic move — take her to a scenic view outdoors, make meaningless small talk, and then get her somewhere I can let loose this pent-up frustration in my jeans. While sitting there, she looked up at the stars. Obviously in deep thought. I couldn’t help but stop and take in how pretty she was. She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. I almost don’t feel worthy of talking to her, but she’s with me. She has apparent self-esteem issues and her nervous demeanor screams inexperience. At least, she doesn’t seem like she sleeps around a lot. I couldn’t care less. It’s just nice to not have to carry around and guide someone that’s trashed and might puke all over me. It’s happened more times than I’d like to admit. The longer I sat and stared, every thought about Katrina faded while this girl captured me. She’s beautiful from her head all the way down those slender legs, and her hair makes my mouth water. I still don’t recognize her from school, but she may have said something about being homeschooled. I can’t say I was really listening while staring at her lips. My earlier confidence in my night slipped away. This girl took it and I’m second-guessing every word I speak. Kissing her was a risk, but when she opened her mouth for me, I knew she was mine. I lead her to the front of the house to the parked cars, and take her to where my car is and help her into the back seat. “This is nice. Is this your car?” “Yeah? Would you think I’d just lead you into some random person’s car?” That’s the thing about her. She sounds so naïve, but she’s dressed like half the girls here and is giving me the f**k me eyes. “Oh, I guess you’re right, but I don’t really know you, so you can’t blame me for questioning you.” I get it. Safety and all that. I’m not looking to murder her. Just f**k the beautiful goddess and be done with this night. I already know this won’t go anywhere. She has bigger and better things going for her. “Then tell me something about you.” She thinks about it for a while, like her answer really matters. “I like Cap’n Crunch.” “What?” “You know, the cereal. It’s my favorite and I can’t go one morning without it. It’s my version of a coffee addiction.” “That’s...” strange, “interesting.” Of all the things she could have shared. She obviously doesn’t want to make this very personal, which I can respect. It’s fine if she doesn’t want to get to know the real me. Girls like her probably marry doctors or become one. I look forward to my normal, middle class life after college. “Tell me something about you, Lucas.” Man, this is taking longer than usual. Granted, this is a new girl for me. She doesn’t know me and I don’t know her — like she pointed out. We’re pretty much strangers, but even then, I should already be done with her. Let her move on to bigger and better things. Now that I finally got her to my car, she still wants to talk. Doesn’t she realize this is the part where you shut up and take your panties off? If I open up more, maybe she’ll stop trying to play some naïve princess. “Uh, I like fixing cars.” “Really? Did you fix this—” Never mind, I’m done, so I cut her off. I lean in and kiss her, and couldn't care less about the taste of the vodka on her tongue. She’s beautiful, temporary, and mine for right now. Judging by the way she’s not fighting it, she seems to know where this is headed. I start with my hand on the top of her bare knee and rub circles over the skin ever so slightly, while I gently slip my tongue into her mouth between breaths. She seems genuinely surprised. Maybe she really does like to act innocent. I slowly work my hand up her thigh and even though she seemed to resist at first, she relaxes a little after some meaningless words in her ear. Chicks really seem to be into the whole sweet words whispered crap. She’s eating it right up. I get it. She’s a good girl. Never really had one of those before.
