I had a gun in my hand; it was loaded, and I knew how to use it. That's the one thing mom taught me. How to use a gun.
Now, I've never shot anyone before, but I imagined just one bullet would be enough to kill her, and right now, honestly, I could just sit in a prison cell if need be, but she needed to be gone. Sienna needed to die.
With that in mind, I rushed toward the door only for me to open it and bump into Gerald and for both of us to freeze.
Right there at the door we both stared at each other, looking into each other's eyes; my chest was moving up and down due to the adrenaline. s**t, I literally had a loaded gun in my hands, and I was ready to pull the trigger; it was natural I was this panicked.
It was only when a voice sounded that Gerald pulled me inside quickly, and before I could react, he held a hand over my mouth, allowing me to breathe into his neck, smelling his cologne, which was what I lived for.
“I'll be right down.” Gerald responded to Sienna, who said she was getting bored alone.
“Can you let me in your office?” She asked, and he looked down at me, and I also looked at him. Well, that would be a bad idea for her because I will pull the trigger if she comes in front of me right now.
“Let me first clean it up, okay? Now could you please go and prepare me coffee?” Gerald gave her an excuse.
“But honey, I don't even know your kitchen well.”
“Ask Destiny; she'll help you, please. I need to make a phone call. It's very important.” He told her, and she agreed. I guess she realized he didn't want her in his office.
Sienna left, and we both waited a minute before speaking. I pushed his hand away and pointed the gun at him.
“Zoe? What's this, princess? What are you doing with a gun?”
“Trust me, you're not my target; Sienna is.” I told him, and he looked at me like I had lost my mind. “She wants to come between us; I won't let it happen.”
“Baby, what are you saying?”
“You said she is your girlfriend.”
“Well yes.” He didn't even try to deny it.
“Then what about me? Didn't you just take my virginity last night?”
“See… that's why I went to get her; I made a mistake.”
“WHAT?”
“You're my wife's daughter; also, you're way younger. This is wrong.”
“Wrong? Okay, you're f*****g kidding me.” I scoffed. He was. “A man with a porn site thinks there's something wrong in the world?” I still had the gun pointed at him, but he didn't seem bothered about it at all. In fact, he came toward me and slowly took it from me, just like that.
“Sienna is my age mate; I admit we had a good time last night. Perhaps I had let my lust also get in the way, but you know how I'm already judged.”
“What are you telling me?”
“You have to understand, my daughters are going to live with me now; I can't give them a bad example, okay?" Just there, he spoke, evoking emotions in me. If I were someone who could cry, I would be crying a river by now; my nose burned like I had just sniffed pepper, but no tears came out of me.
“Dad, oh, there you are.” Destiny came in from nowhere, and we immediately shifted. “I believe Sienna is looking for you, and I need your help.” She dragged me by my arms and led me straight back to my bedroom. “Can you believe I'd get to live with you now?” She sounded excited.
“Yeah, um, do you know what happened?” I asked. Gosh, whatever the reason was, it should be reversed immediately.
“Whatever the reason, I'm glad it did; finally, you can get to be a normal teen. You are starting college right, and I went through your wardrobe…” That's when I realized most of my clothes were on the bed. “You need new clothes and a phone.”
“Oh yes.” I needed a phone. With Mom gone and with college incoming, it was time for me to get my computer as well.
"Well, let's go now. I'm ready," she said, and I just had to change and take a quick shower. Shopping would really help me calm down a little and think, so I was looking forward to that.
Within thirty minutes I was ready; Destiny could drive, and so she drove us to the mall.
I did the shopping; with an unlimited card, I got all I wanted. Before Gerald, I already had this card so I could spend, however, without anyone controlling me.
“Are you sure people wear this?” I asked Destiny as she forced me to pick some items I've never really worn.
“You do want to get a boyfriend in college, right?”
“What?”
"Oh, don't act innocent; I know you know what I mean. Now for you to get attention, you should have a unique style.” She insisted. “Go and try those on; let me go and get you more.” She said and then left. I shook my head before going back into the changing room, only to jump when I found Gerald sitting on a seat, legs crossed and looking so naturally like he was supposed to be there.
Okay, I just left him home, and I didn't even say goodbye or let him know where I was headed to; sure, Destiny went to tell him, but I didn't. It's like I was too angry to speak with him, but how the hell did he get here? Moreover, how did he get in here, and what the f**k was he doing here?
“I have about ten minutes.” He said, glancing at his wristwatch, “Come sit on my lap.” He patted his lap, looking directly at me, ignoring my stunned face.
