Chapter Fifty One

The manor house was nothing I was expecting it to be. Compared to the palace this was modest. More of a cottage even. It was a two-story cobblestone building. Moss and vines were creeping up the walls of the home, while the entirety of the structure was shaded by large weeping willow trees. The porch, of course made of the same cobble stone wrapped around the whole building from one side to the next. Two porch swings sat on either side of the front porch while a rocking chair sat sporadically throughout the rest of the wrap around. It was cozy, warm. Flowers lined the front of the house, lilies, my favorite flower. There were so many that the aroma of the blooms permeated the air, with a subtle hint of roses. There was something else though.
