Ch 1: The Week before departure

"Brother, what is the matter with you? I have noticed these past few days you have been unwell and very pale". "Honestly A, I dont know what is the matter. We don't get sick ever and now I'm sick all the time. I am on my way to the healers.Our mother has noticed as well and ordered me to go". "I will go with you to one, make sure you even go for one and for two I'm nosey and I wanna know what's going on". My brother laughs "Ok you nosey, Ninnie lets go before mom comes after us". Walking down the halls laughing with my brother, I really took in his appearance. He looked horrible. Finally, we arrive at the Healers. As the head healer looks up, he looks at my brother and his jaw drops and hurries over to us. "Princess, please help me get Prince Declan over to a bed! "Of course! Head Healer. Looking at your facial expression, there is definitely something wrong with my brother." "Yes, Princess, there is definitely something wrong with the Prince. Your Higness, how long have you been feeling sick?" "I would say I have been sick for two weeks but this past week I've started to look very pale and I have lost a lot of weight." Looking at the Crown Prince he has a feeling what is wrong he just prays that he is very very wrong. "Head Healer do you know what might be wrong with my brother?" I motion the Healer to follow me as I ask this question, because i do not want to worry my brother at the moment "I have a feeling I do your Highness i just hope im wrong." "What is it? Do I need to get our parents down here?" Sighing, he looked at the Princess. "I am afraid he is being poisoned and looked like a very large dose. I would also recommend getting your parents here.While you get the King and Queen, I am gonna start an IV to get some fluid into his system. After I explain my thoughts to your family, I am gonna take some blood then flush out his system." Looking at her big brother scared for the first time in her life. "I will go get them right now sir, Healer, please do not tell him anything until my family gets here. I know he is the Prince but I feel like he is gonna need us when you tell him and it's better to say it all at once". Walking back over to my brother, I felt sick at the sight of my big brother and sad all at once. Something better be done to help or I am gonna go on a rampage. "Hey bro, I will be right back. I'm gonna go check on mom. I'm sure she is freaking out about you." I smiled and he laughed at me, shaking his head. " You're probably right, alright go see mom before she throws a fit. I'll talk to the healer to try and find out what's wrong with me." Racing down the hall, I went looking for my parents. Opening the door to their room,yelling "Mom! Dad! are you in here?", scaring the day light's out of the maid that was in the process of cleaning their room. "Lisa, where are my parents?" "They are in the sunroom, Princess." "Thank you Lisa." she bow's and i turn around and sprint down there stairs to the sunroom, almost knocking Garret over in the process. "Sorry!" I turn the corner and slam open the door. "Mom! Dad! are you in here?" "My daughter, what is wrong with you running around like a heathen!" "Father, I am sorry I was in a hurry to come and get you and mom." My mother looked at me in concern. "Honey, what is the matter?" "Well I saw Declan in the hall and went with him to see the Healer like you told him to. You know me, I'm nosey and I have been worried as well. So I decided to go with him and see if I could get the info before coming to get you. So I was sitting there while the doctor asked him questions. Did you know that he hasn't felt good and that he has lost a lot of weight? He told the healer that this had been happening for two weeks?" "WHAT!" "They both shouted "How could he not tell us this." My mother asked both my Father and I. "I don't know mom he probably didn't want to burden you both." "What to you mean LeLe?" My Father asks me and I just look at him for the moment like he was stupid. "Dad really?" "Yes really I don't understand why he would not tell us." "Well you have been so busy dealing with the Rouge Fae and Light Elves with the Lorcan that Declan and I haven't really seen you in a week." Dad looked at me like i was crazy "There is no way that I have been so busy that he couldn't come to me" "Yes Dad there is, You have both been so busy doing Kingly and Queenly things that we haven't seen you.You haven't spent anytime with us or our younger siblings.So I will say again my guess is that he didn't want to bother either one of you, and felt like it wasn't that important at the moment." Mom looks so close to tears at this moment I almost feel bad for saying what I did. To be honest, though, I don't because the twins miss them, and if they don't take a break they are gonna burn out. "Anyways, I did not come here to lecture you, when we walked in the Healer's jaw dropped at the sight of Declan. I asked what was wrong but he wouldn't tell me. I think he was afraid to be honest. I asked him if I needed to get you both and he said yes. Now we really need to get to the Healers and find out what is wrong with Declan."
