The man blurted out, "You know Rhea?"
Right. Mandy now knew for certain that this man was the "corner" Bruno had stolen—Bruno’s white moonlight herself, Rhea. She had truly become a part of their twisted game, and all the misfortune had fallen squarely on her.
This kidnapping was a complete disaster. The man in front of her seemed mentally unstable, and if he went completely off the rails, he might actually kill her. Mandy wasn't about to become cannon fodder in someone else's story. A spark of inspiration ignited within her. "Are you sure it's her you're talking about?"
"Who else could it be!" The man sneered, his expression contorted. "She was with me from nineteen, for two whole years. If it weren't for Bruno interfering, I would have married her long ago."
