The Great Anniversary

Amelia POV 

It's been a month since I got the call from Geron and I instructed Tylor to start his job. Her routine is very simple and boring like every good girl does. She works at the William Whistle Editorial, and it is a very guarded place besides that she is best friends with Luna Whistle. And then we have her house, the orphanage in the middle of the city. This sums up why we don't have her in our possession yet. We can't do anything to her in a public place because it would get us in trouble. I have been thinking of a plan that works, and then I decided that we are going to celebrate the anniversary of the pendulum and invite all the public with free entries and drinks all night. l got in contact with this boy called Marc Biensel which basically is Luna's boyfriend. l offered him money to invite his girlfriend and her friend to the club tonight. My idea is to bring her to the club so l can talk to her and see what makes her so special for Geron to be interested.

"Everything is ready for tonight ma'am". Tylor informed me.

"Perfect, make sure all our men have a picture of her in case she shows up today". I told him and he nodded.

I am eager to meet her................................

Today I am super tired, this week there were many orders but my team and I managed to finish them on time. I have hardly seen Luna these days because she has been too working hard to lift her punishment. I am calm because I have not received anything from the mysterious man, but I have not heard from Alonzo again. Could it be that he forgot about me? It was too cute to be good and durable, right?. I have to get on with my life, it's almost time for college admissions season so I have little time to prepare myself.

"Chery, Cheryyyyy !!!". Luna yelled very excitedly entering my office and hugging me. This doesn't give me a good feeling, she wants something from me.

"What's wrong with you, why are you so happy huh?". I said looking suspiciously into her eyes.

"It's that Marc invited us to the anniversary of the club we went to the other day". She answered.

Deep down, I didn't really like the idea, but I decided to go anyway.

"Okay, I must lose permission first". I told her.

"In that case, I'll wait for you at my house to get ready and go". Luna said very happily and I nodded.

We are in the club and there are a lot of people here which is not something that I like very much, but I came to have fun and that is what matters. Luna is with the jerk kissing and swearing eternal love with each other. It makes me want to vomit with their stupid displays of love for each other because I know they are false. Well from Luna they are true but from the i***t of course not.

I walked a bit until I met with the boy who steals my sighs; Alonzo. He was much more handsome than last time, with his black outfit like an aesthetic guy. I like his style because it makes him more attractive.

"Hi Charon, how are you? He asked me with his deep masculine voice that made my heartbeat louder than unusual of how nervous his presence makes me.

"I'm fine, what are you doing here?"...My mind was running out of options and l couldn't ask him anything else since l was biting my tongue stopping myself from not telling him how handsome he was.

"It's my day off, so I came to have fun for a while, and you? He asked me with a smile on his lips.

"Me too and I am here with my friend Luna". I replied.

"You want a drink". Alonzo asked me. "Okay but ..." I couldn't finish because he immediately interrupted me, "I know pretty girls like you don't drink alcohol." He chuckled and I blush hard.

We were talking and laughing at all the stupid who were doing crazy things for alcohol. There was a guy that the girlfriend broke up with him because the very cheeky was cheating on her with another girl. When the poor girl looked at her supposed boyfriend with another girl on his lap as she passionately kissed him, she got mad and they started putting on a show. I imagine the pain the girl felt, it is very sad that she has fallen in love with a stupid man who only played with her all this time.

I apologized to Alonso and told him I was going to the bathroom. When I got to the bathroom, many girls were fixing their makeup, and others just taking provocative pictures. After a few minutes, I finished with all my needs and when I got out of the bathroom I felt someone grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth so I wouldn't scream.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I just want you to come with me, miss." the man whispered in my ear. But I was very terrified and stood still like a statue.

"Don't worry, nothing will happen to you, just walk with me." The man spoke once more and I had no choice but to do what he told me. He took me to a place where the loud music of the club could no longer be heard and we were in front of a black door. The door immediately opened and the man guided me to where a very beautiful woman was sitting at a desk. She had blonde hair, fair skin, very pretty eyes similar to mine. I might think that at some point I imagine that she was my mother because of how much she resembles me.

Amelia POV 

One of the boys found her, she was here so I ordered her to be brought into my presence immediately. I am finally going to meet her.

In less than 5 minutes she was in my presence, when I saw her through my heart stopped instantly. She looks a lot like me, l shook my thoughts apart. I could tell that she was very scared by the way she was looking at me and my men.

"Hi Charon, it's nice to meet you in person". I said getting up from my chair to face her. She looked at me confused and before she opened her mouth to say anything I interrupted her.

"If you wonder how I know your name, well let's say I know everything about you. I know that your best friend is Luna Whistle, you work in her father's publishing house and your home is the orphanage that is in the middle of the city." I said looking her in the eyes.

"Why am I here and who are you? What do you want from me?". She questioned with an acid tone in my direction.

"One question at a time baby. I am Amelia Dustin and I am the owner of this place like many other bars in Gotham City. The purpose for which you are here today is because I have something to tell you. You see I have a friend of mine who a few days ago told me that you were his property and that he wanted me to teach you to respect him, he wants you to go live with him. " I said as kindly as possible. She laughed and then answered me with a very angry expression.

"I don't know who your friend is, lady, but tell him that I'm not going to live with a depraved man like him, and he hasn't had the balls needed to face me. His threats don't scare me, I am not an object, I am a free woman and I have rights that he will not take away from me. "

Wow, I was surprised by her response, she has a very challenging character without a doubt. I see why Geron is infatuated with her, she is the first one who rejects him so many times and who also dares to challenge him. She is quite a savage and that makes her irresistible.
