Fourteen Two Charges Simon, Seph, and Jake went to a pub in Boyce. The pub was attached to a motel. The boys went to a room they rented and continued to drink their bootlegged IPAs, sweet Kanakian whiskey, and radlers from the pub. Seph held Persephone in his arms. Persephone’s song drowned this memory out. Jake whistled along with the tune. Simon left the room in the middle of the night without anything on but his underpants. The stories explaining why he did this vary from he had to pee and the room toilet was occupied by Jake, to he just felt like getting fresh air, all the way to doing a candy run
