Felix stared at Elena for a long moment, an unreadable emotion flickering in his eyes.
After a few seconds, he murmured, "Forget it."

Elena blinked, confused, assuming it was just fever-induced rambling. She stepped closer to tuck him in more securely.
Just then, his phone buzzed on the bedside table.
Felix, groggy from the fever, watched as she picked up the call.
Elena took the call, hesitated for a moment, and said, "I'll think about it and get back to you."
After hanging up, she noticed Felix's curious look and explained, "A friend from college invited me to a reunion tomorrow."
"Why hesitate?" Felix asked, genuinely puzzled. "A college reunion should be fun. It'd be good for you to take your mind off things and unwind."
