Elena instantly lost all traces of sleepiness.
She tossed and turned but couldn't fall back asleep. Frustrated, she sat up, grabbed her pillow, and climbed out of bed.
Quietly opening her bedroom door, she tiptoed to the study and knocked softly.
"Come in," came Felix's steady voice from inside.
When she stepped in, she found him still sitting at his desk, engrossed in his work.
Elena cleared her throat awkwardly, clutching her pillow tightly. "I was just getting some water and saw the light on. You're not sleeping yet?"
Felix didn't even glance up. "I was planning to sleep here, but something urgent came up. It'll take me about an hour to finish. You should go back to bed."
