"Welcome home, Alpha," the guy said, his voice preferably more profound over Jerome's.
"I told you to not come downstairs until I tell you to do so, Lucas," Jerome murmured, as the guy stood beside the door post.
"You can leave for now, since I've got a lot of things to attend to." Jerome placed a hard grip on my wrist applying too much pressure as he hauled me towards a flight of stairs on the left corner of the room from where we entered, a second sets of similar steps on the opposite side of the room made of ceramic tiles same as the steps outside.
The entry to the spot was huge and liberal, a massive chandelier hanging from the ceiling staying nearby 4 feet in the air when you stroll inside. I lifted my gown in order to assist me with walking up the flight of stairs that lead to the second floor, and I was ushered into a large room, being illuminated on all corners with a couple of different exits along one segment of the corridor, and at the corner of the right side was a bigger room but I couldn't actually see that well.
"Move!" Jerome snarled, hauling me towards another flight of stairs that lead to yet another living room in the house. I saw that no lights were on in the house, and I was being hauled through the murkiness without knowing where I was going.
One foot in front of the other, One more step, and then one more. My only thoughts were to keep moving no matter how much my body screamed to stop and rest. I'd lost almost all the energy and my entire body ached beyond belief, but I forced myself to take another step. Then another. And then one more.
We arrived at the third floor and I anticipated that Jerome would finally drag me towards the last floor, yet rather he drove me down one more step into a restricted lobby that made us pass by many different rooms.
We turned a corner and more rooms were visible, and I glanced over to one side to see an enormous opening the wide range of various rooms that had tables and seats set up, many hanging lights and well enlivened walls and floors; this mansion was just on another level.
I've caught wind of the Dragon Hunters Pack gigantic and unfathomable chateau, realizing that this spot might be the largest pack house in the entire community, yet I never suspected I'd be somebody to drop by and live in this house.
I had a premonition that I planned to lose all sense of direction in this manor more times which made me feel lost and humiliated, I never wished for such a bad experience.
"Along these lines, this way" Jerome kept hold of my wrist, as he headed towards the lobby that had a chandelier suspended from the top of the ceiling and a canvas of what looked like a wolf with shining red eyes.
I looked intently at the image to see what it practically looked like, suddenly there was a word embedded and inscribed on the photo: "Pain and Anguish".
Jerome opened the door to another room the double doors were made of thick heavy metal. For the first time since we met, Jerome released my wrist as he signaled me into the room, and I glanced around to see it was lovely.
The floors were covered with a thick layer of wood, a long and way too expensive looking bed layed on the furthest left of the room in the middle, and an enormous window with bars outwardly that extended to the roof provided me with a scenic view of the botanical garden that was outside.
I ventured further into the room, glancing around cautiously and coming to the conclusion that this room alone was bigger than the house I lived in while I was staying with my former Pack.
"This is where you'll remain at the present," Jerome said, and I turned towards him to see he was resting up against the door frame, however his face remained lowered towards the floor with his hands in his pockets.
"Until you are prepared for mating, this will be your room." His voice echoed
"Wh-aaat?," I said while stammering, Jerome turning his head towards me and I peered down at my heeled shoes, I had to take them off when I had this excruciating pain down my leg.
Jerome sneered and got out of the room, seizing the door by the handle prior to halting squarely in his way. He turned around towards me rapidly, his eyes shooting stares at me.
"Also, no matter what, under any circumstances," He said, pointing his finger at me as his voice became louder.
"Try not to go further to the first floor." He barked
"Why?" I pouted and made a considerable space between us, Clasped my hands together and looked into his eyes.
"Don't" was all he said, before he held the door by it's handle and closed it behind me, making me hop and rub my palms together, I was shivering, moreover winter would soon be here.
I stuck my eyes in the peep hole in the door to that he was gone, and it was only me inside the enormous room, just me myself and I no one else.
My heart tweaked as I understood how close both this pack and my own pack were, as I opened up the window and felt an unexpected impact of cool air strike my exposed chest and making my hair whip behind me.
I breathed in fresh air as I kept my eyes on the lights that illuminated the entire room, faintly hearing the hints of a yell somewhere far off.
My lip shuddered as I felt a tear tumble from my face, as tears ran down my cheeks as I thought of Brian; the friend I may in all likelihood at no point ever find in the future.
I folded my hands over the bars of the window frame, a cold feeling coming over me, the burning sensation was too much for me to endure and I leaned closer towards the bars with my eyes actually fixed on the lights somewhere far off.
I felt like a detainee. I felt locked away. I felt like I was never going to interact with the outside world for the rest of my life.
I felt myself float away from the freedom I assumed I had while back at the Pinewood Forest Pack finding that I never truly had a lot of opportunity in regard to one way or the other.
My hand floated over to the jewelry folded over my neck, the necklace I never took off in light of the devoted memory of my mom such a long time ago. What's more, that is the way I realized the end was here.
Afterwards, I let out a loud wail that echoed into the dark nights.
