Simon held her in his arms and strode out.
People in the hospital corridor paused to glance at them as they passed.
Amelia felt the stares and started to feel a little uncomfortable.
"I can walk on my own," she muttered.

He gave her a quick glance but clearly had no intention of putting her down.
As the elevator doors slid open and they were about to step in, Simon suddenly stopped in his tracks.
