I'm groaning, lying down, as I hear the beeping of a machine, used in hospital. I roll from side to side, believing it will relieve the pain aching all over me. Cough! cough! cough!. Then I peel my eyes open, glance at my beta standing beside me.
"You are awake!" she said looking so much happy.
"What happened? why I'm lying down in the hospital?" I struggle the words out of my mouth.
"You fainted, while that wicked Luna was maltreating you" she mirror sadness on her face as she speaks. Then my brain flash back to the moment I was cleaning Jennifer room. Before I lost conscious; I felt very hungry.
"The Doctor said you should have a good rest" my beta added.
"Don't worry I will have a very long rest, please help me with a bottle of water" I requested and she rush over to the freezer to grab me one. She hand me the bottle water, I loose the cap and take a sip.
"Thank you so much, for looking after me" I appreciate my beta, placing a big smile on my face.
"I would do something more good than this one, I promise to protect you, for the kindness you have been showing to me" she smiled.
Jennifer bag inside with two soldiers on her sides. She's clapping her hands, laughing.
"Oh, I hope you are fine now" she stated.
"No, she has not fully recover, until she takes a good rest" my beta replied her immediately.
"I don't care whatever," she said, "I want her to prepare breakfast for me now" she declared with her eyes wide open. My beta was bombast with surprise from Jennifer.
"But, she can't do that now" my beta said.
"Get out of here immediately" she yell at her. My beta was still standing staring at her.
"I can't leave her alone, she need somebody to be by her side," my beta speak while she shivers, the anger from Jennifer is sending a cold down her core.
"Hey, both of you take this trash out and come back immediately," she point at the two officers, they suddenly grab my beta by her sides and drag her out.
"Please be gentle with her" I said to them as they were dragging her out and Jennifer was glaring at me.
"You should get up from that bed and start preparing yourself to make breakfast for me" she laughed. Then a minute later, the two officers come back. They help me get up from the bed, we all went for Jennifer kitchen.
I sigh heavily, stepping into the kitchen. I raise my face, looking all over the lockers to start with the cooking. Then I turn on the cooker, place the pot on top of the burning fire. Afterward I pour the frying oil on the pot, waited a while for it to get hot, before I drop the spice on the pot, as it get fried, I pick out the knife, grab the carrot. I slice the carrot a bit by bit, dropping it on the pot to fry, I slice the second round and I drop it on the pot to fry. I rush out the pot from fire immediately, then I place another pot on the fire, as I prepare the meat for deep frying. The moment the pot has get hot, I unleash bottle of oil on the pot. Then I spun to my left side, I clench my hands on the bowl, then spun back, facing the frying pot. I drop a meat on the pot suddenly, drench back to avoid the splashing of the hot oil, then I drop another meat on the pot pot, I dolge the hot oil again. As soon as I'm done frying the meat, I arrange everything into a tray, covering the plates with cloches.
I carefully take my steps, carrying the tray on my hand, heading for Jennifer dining table. And there they sit, Jennifer and Marcus waiting for their breakfast.
"Darling she is here, the stupid girl that want to kill us with starvation" Jennifer said and she kiss Marcus on the head.
I arrive at their dining table, drop the the tray on the table. I begin to discharge the plates, meanwhile Marcus was very close to me, I could sniff his old sweet scent which doesn't belong to me again. After I finish, I hand them their spoons and knife.
"Where are you going to grace?" Jennifer asked with a itch on her face. I stand still, staring at her, guessing inside my head why she is asking me this question and I battle, for a good reply to tackle her.
Clear my throat, "i want to go and have my breakfast, before I continue any work".
She mumble, "what breakfast, you will wait till we are done, before you leave".
"No, I can't wait till you are done eating, I'm very hungry right now" i argued relentlessly. Jennifer ball a fist and hit her hand on the table, fuming with anger.
"I said you should wait, but you are trying to defy my orders, infact kneel down till we are done eating."
Marcus yell "Don't get my sweetie angry, kneel down as she told you to do" his eyes are showing red and I fell down on my knees.
"That's good of you" she said; then pick her spoon to continue eating. I watch as Jennifer will take a bite of meat on her mouth and she will transfer it to Marcus with her mouth.
"Sweetie you like it?" Jennifer ask Marcus caressing his beard with her hands.
"I love it so much, my honey pie" Marcus replied.
"I'm done eating" she announced.
"I'm also done too" follow by Marcus.
I stand up to my feet.
"I hope I'm free to leave?" I asked her.
"I thought you said, you going to take your breakfast, right?" Jennifer asked.
"yes" I replied.
"I think we shouldn't waste foods in this pack, their is no reason for you to go and cook another one, when their is a enough lying on the table".
"What!" I exclaimed, as I understand she is trying to say I should eat their leftovers.
"I'm very sorry I can't eat leftovers".
"Are you deaf, we aren't wasting food in this pack, I will send a message to my beta that no food should be given to you, it this leftovers you are eating" Marcus affirmed.
I step forward to grab the leftovers, because i don't have any choice.
