Chapter Two

Ariana's point of View

It's been a week now and to say that its been awful will be a terrible lie. I mean its been awesome, Rose is actually fun. She already met Greg and she told me about her and I told her about me too.

I learnt that she is actually from a royal family in Nigeria from a place called 'Ogbomosho', she is also the second child of her father's third wife. Her father has four wives and she came to America cos she doesn't like her life again home. She is here alone. She stays in her parents house here.

I told her about me and how I don't remember my parents and that I lost my memory when I was twelve and my parents died in a plane crash. Greg told me that I went into shock and somehow lost my memories.

I even told her to come live with us since she is living alone and she accepted. Right now we are in her house packing her things in her parents house. We already packed her things and we put them in the trunk of Greg's car. We got in the car and we went to our house.

Greg allowed Rose to come live with us when I told him that she was living alone.

"So.... What do you want to do?" I asked Rose.

"Arrange my stuff and we should just chill. We have homework to do anyway." Rose replied.

"Thank you for accepting me in your house. I still need to ask, hope I'm not intruding?" Rose asked Greg

"No no kid....you are a good kid and you shouldn't live alone and besides Ari is a lonely weirdo, she needs a friend"

Rose bursts out laughing. She laughed so hard she almost fell off her seat. I just scowled and pretended to be mad

"Ha ha.... Just laugh it up" Rose just laughed harder at my sarcastic remark.

Did I tell you that Rose loves to laugh? No? Well Rose loves to laugh and she does it hard. You say something funny,she will laugh as if that was the funniest thing in the world and she always have a smile on her face.

We finally got home and I showed Rose her room. I helped her arrange her things and then we did our homework and then studied a little for about thirty minutes before I said we should stop and watch a movie.

We watched 'Truth or dare'.

As we watch the movie, I don't know what happened, all I know is that I felt dizzy all of a sudden and I started to have a huge headache. I tried holding onto something but I couldn't. All I know was that everything went dark.

Uggggghhhhh....

I feel horrible, my head is aching badly. Like banging.

"Hey" I think that's..... Rose?... "Ari, its time for school"

"OK"

I stood up and went straight to the bathroom and then I did everything I needed to do and came out fully dressed in a crop top and high waist jeans. I went down to the kitchen to get some breakfast. I kept my lollipops in my already stuffed locker in school. And some in my school bag. And some in Rose's bag so even if Greg finds out about the lollipops In my bag I will have extra.

I ate my breakfast and we all went to Greg's car. I bought up the topic of car again and this time Greg said he will get me a driver and bodyguard to take us to school and back. At least it is better.....

What am I saying, it is the worst. I mean a bodyguard that will follow me and Rose around in school. Seriously!!! I don't know why he fears that I will be in severe danger if he doesn't protect me. Its not like I will be attacked the moment he leaves me alone.

I love him but he is overbearing most times. He even taught me how to fight and he also made me train as if I will be going to war or something. He even taught me how to use a sword.

He even brought the idea to Rose. She agreed and now she starts her training on Saturday which is tomorrow.

I just sighed at Greg and immediately we got to school, we out of the car, I said bye to him and we head to our lockers.

"So, we get a bodyguard and driver."Rose stated.

I just sighed "yeah"

She didn't say anything again and I just touched my necklace.

I thought about my life and my parents I don't remember but someone broke my reverie.

" Ari, I've been meaning to ask. You never take off your necklace, why" Rose asked me with a curious look on her face.

" yeah, I guess it has always been a part of me I guess. Greg told me that my parents gave it to me when I was just a baby and since then it has always been with me. I never tried to remove it"

I explained to her.

"OK" she nodded and she left it at that, the bell rang and they went to class.

School is over for the week and we decided to go shopping today. I called Greg and told him and he said that he will send someone to drive us to the mall and take us home after we are done shopping. We argued for sometime before I finally agreed and not just because he threatened to throw away all the lollipops in the house and all my secret stash( I don't even know how he knows)– OK....maybe a little of that.

5 minutes later....a BMW stopped in front of us. The person driving got down and opened the car door for us. I just sighed....

"I feel as if you are treated more like royalty than I ever was when I was still in Nigeria"

Rose said and sighed dramatically.

"Well I hate it" Rose just laughed and we gist about other things before we finally got to the mall.

We spent the entire evening shopping with a large man following us around. It was awful. I told him that he doesn't need to follow us around but he just said

"Boss said to never leave your side "in his deep voice.

We were done and I paid with Greg's credit card that he gave us full and loaded with money and we left.

At least the big man is useful for something. He helped us carry our things to the car and we entered the car.

Immediately we got home I went straight to my lollipops and change their hiding spots in case some kill joy comes to take it away from me.

"You know.....what you are doing is useless"

I jumped when I heard an annoying deep voice behind me

"Don't. Scare. Me. Like. That" I clutched my chest.

"When did you even get here" I asked him as I tried to hide my lollipops from him. I saw him roll his eyes before he answered me.

"I've been home when you got here....you were too busy trying to hide your lollipops to see me".

Now it's my turn to roll my eyes and I went down to the kitchen.

I saw rose there, drinking milk.....Rose loves milk....I am very sure you can kidnap her with milk.

"You start training tomorrow"
