“I think somebody’s got a visitor,” Cody said, pulling Clay’s attention away from the trembling colt. “What?” He glanced up, and saw Paige’s unmistakable figure approaching the corral. The colt shifted its weight and neighed, tossing his fiery red mane. The saddle Clay was trying to ease onto the colt’s back slipped in his fingers. It was difficult to concentrate. It had been difficult to concentrate since he kissed Paige, and realized he desperately wanted to do more than kiss her.
