Chapter 16 : Saturday Morning, Unexpected

Saturday came without urgency, the kind of morning that made it easy to forget everything that had been weighing on me during the week. Jane had left early for her hospital placement, the apartment still carrying the faint sound of her rushing around and muttering about being late. For the first time in days I had the space to just exist.
