Chapter 15

-Lily-

After going inside the pack house, I grabbed a quick shower, to get the sweat off from training and then racing James. I dry off and walk into my closet to get dressed. I put one of my favorite lace thongs and a matching bra, the grab some comfy yoga pants that I love and a halter top that stops a couple inches above my belly button. I brush my hair quickly and put some light makeup on and head out of my room.

I look around the pack house to see if James is still here. I figure he's headed outside already so I grab my purse and wallet with my keys, I walk out and head for the front doors of the pack house to meet Eric and James.

I see James leaning against the pack house and smile. James and I haven't gone shopping together in a long time. I look towards the cottage that Eric is supposed to be staying at and smile once I see him jogging over to us.

"Ready?" I ask excitedly. I haven't left the pack borders since I got back.

Eric nods and walks towards my corvette. James and I excitedly get in and Eric gets in the passenger seat.

"make sure you buckle yourself Eric, Lily likes to drive fast." James says laughing and buckling himself in. "dad completely enabled you by getting you the corvette."

"shush James" I look at Eric whose has an eyebrow raised. "you too!" I start giggling and turn the car on.

"hey I didn't say anything." Eric says laughing.

I turn on my music and turn the volume up as my favorite band, Our Last Night blasts through the speakers, then pull out of my parking spot and drive towards the gates.

"what band is this? and I didn't peg you for a rock metal band type." Eric says laughing.

"they're amazing. it's Our Last Night." James says laughing. "lily is obsessed with them."

I laugh and hum along to the song cold blooded. The gates open and I drive through happily.

"They're coming through Canada on tour and I really want to see them. theyre on a north American tour." I say while glancing at Eric.

"Well then let's do it. I like them so far." Eric says and goes through my playlist to see all the songs I have of theirs. "they do covers as well?"

James laughs. "that's how lily found them. the first song she heard was bye bye bye by NSYNC that they covered and it was all over then. Lily please take me if you go."

Eric pulls his phone out and starts typing away on it. A couple minutes later he pulls his credit card out.

"There. 3 VIP tickets front row and backstage passes." Eric says and puts his card away and holds one of my hands, while I have one on the steering wheel.

"Really?! Oh Eric thank you so much." I squeal excitedly.

James looks between us and smiles. Maybe bringing him out with us was a good idea for him and Eric to bond since James was reluctant about him. We did have a small conversation while training and he promised to try.

I quickly pull into the mall parking lot and park. "Alrighty, see Eric I'm not a scary driver." I say laughing while getting out.

Eric gets out laughing. "your just a fast driver." Eric looks at James when he gets out of the car and we start walking to the mall.

"I want to hit the game store." James says looking at me.

"Ok sounds good." I quietly take Eric's hand in mine to hold it wondering if it would bother him out in public.

Eric smiles and squeezes my hand back causing me to blush and we follow James to the game store.

"Oh Lil! Look PlayStation came out with a new system!!" James says nearly jumping up and down.

"Well, you have money so get what you want." I look up at Eric and smile. "James Mind Link me when your ready I'm going to wander ok?"

"Yea alright." James says distracted by the new system and games.

I walk out of the store and through the hall looking at the windows of some stores.

"Anything in particular you want lily?"

I look up at him and smile. "Not really, just looking to see if anything catches my interest."

"Alright."

As we're walking through the hall looking at different store Windows, someone suddenly wraps an arm around my shoulders pulling me away from Eric.

I look up and notice it's one of the boys from school that I turned down a couple of times.

"Lily Lily Lily, where have you been. we missed you at school." he says.

I pull his arm off me and get closer to Eric. "North. Dylan."

"Well are you coming to prom, and do you need a date, cause I'm suddenly available."

I roll my eyes and take Eric's hand again. "No I'm not coming to prom. So no I don't need a date."

Dylan looks at Eric then back at me. "is this the boyfriend you kept saying you had whenever you turned me down?"

"No. This is Eric, but he is my boyfriend." I turn to walk away. "Have a good one Dylan." I quickly walk off with Eric not wanting to be around Dylan anymore.

Eric lets out a small laugh. "Persistence, doesn't take rejection well huh."

I look up at him and smile. "No he doesn't, he used to force my seat mates to switch with him so he could sit with me."

Eric kinda laughs. "are you sure you want to miss your prom."

"Yea. I never made friends with anyone from school, the guys all wanted in my pants and the girls hated me because of it." I shrug and continue walking and stop when we get to a*****e that has a mannequin dressed with jeans that have holes going down the sides of it and a sale for shirts.

Eric sees me eyeing the clothes and leads me into the store. Eric leaves me with the girls section of clothes and goes off to find some men's clothing for himself.

I grab the pants in my size and a couple t shirts and tank tops. I look around to find Eric looking at some clothes.

"You'd look great in this." I hold out a Calvin Klein black shirt. Eric looks at me and smiles.

"Sold then." he laughs and walks to the cashier with me.

I place my clothes down on the counter smiling.

"Oh you two are a beautiful couple. I hope you found everything alright." the cashier says smiling while ringing my clothes through and putting them in a bag.

"We did thank you." Eric says smiling.

While I dig in my purse for my wallet Eric ushers her to ring his clothes in as well without me noticing and quickly pays for it all before I have the chance to stop him.

"Hey!" I go to grab the bag which he takes as well. "I could've paid for my own and I can carry my bag." I say walking out and looking at him with a pout on my face.

"You did pay for your own. Lily my money is your money."

My face immediately turns red, I stop walking and look at him.

"What?" Eric stops and looks at me.

"24 hours. Your willing to split your life with me. What if I was a monster like Edward."

Eric gets close to me, puts the bags down and puts his hands on my cheeks. "Your my mate. I may not be able to protect you when Edward is around you, when that comes to pass, but everything else of me and that belongs to me is yours."

I nod. "O....ok."

"let's go find your brother." Eric takes my hand, picks the bags back up and we walk towards the game store to find James standing outside the store with his arms crossed clearly pissed off.

"James what's wrong." I say concerned.

"So stupid sis. He won't let me buy the system because im not 16. i was only allowed to get a couple games."

Eric nods and walks into the store quietly. I wrap an arm around James shoulder. "Alright well let's go in and buy it together then."

We head into the store and Eric walks towards us with a big bag with the system in it.

"Here James." Eric hands the bag to James smiling.

James eyes light up with excitement and joy and takes the bag. "oh my goddess thank you Eric! let's go to the bank I'll pull the money out to give you!"

"keep it kid. Me and your sister are going to the bank though, you keep the money."

I look at Eric curiously wondering why I need to go to the bank with him. We start walking towards the bank and I take Eric's hand in mine again.

Once we reach the bank James sits on the bench in the hall, while Eric guides me inside and up to a bank teller.

"Hi what can I do for you today." the bank teller says smiling at the both of us.

"Hi I need second cards to these accounts." He lays down 5 cards on the counter.

I look at Eric curiously with a smile. 24 hours with this man and he's giving me everything. How'd I get so lucky and unlucky at the same time.

"Oh alright that is going to take a little bit to access these accounts. can you place one card in the machine there and put your pin in."

Eric follows her instructions for all 5 cards. "thank you" he says smiling when she hands him the second cards.

"Is there anything else I can do for you."

"No thank you for the help." Eric says and guides me out of the bank. "Alright. These are yours." Eric hands me the five cards.

I look at him and smile. "Eric, you didn't have to do this."

James laughs. "Lily take them and be happy he wants to give you the world, already trusting you with his money."

I take the cards and add them to my wallet, and look at him. "thank you." I give him a quick kiss. I need to discuss this huge step with him later.

"let's go get something to eat and head home. Eric is driving this time." I hold his hand and walk towards the food court.

Eric and I get poutines and James grabs a burger we sit down and eat them quickly while laughing at James jokes.

We throw our garbage out and head towards the car. I dig in my purse for the keys and throw them to Eric getting into the passenger seat happily.

James climbs into the back seat and smiles. "Eric do you know how to drift!?"

Eric gets in the driver's seat after putting our bags in the trunk. "Of course."

I smile and put my music on and decide to go with our last night's song white tiger.

"Lily can Eric take us drifting?"

I look between the both of them. "sure!"

Eric smiles and starts driving looking for a empty parking lot. We quickly find one and Eric starts drifting around the parking lot and doing donuts around a light. All of us are laughing from the speed and movement.

Eric stops and looks around at all the burn marks in the lot. "let's go back to the pack." he says laughing with us. we all nod.

"I can't wait to hook my PlayStation up and play some new games."

I laugh and nod. "it's late don't let dad catch you up all night you have school tomorrow."

Eric gets us back to the pack fairly quickly and parks the car in the parking lot and gets out. He runs around the car to open my door for me before I have the chance to open it myself.

I smile at him and get out. "thank you."

James climbs out of the car quickly. "that was awesome!"

"Eric!" a man's voice yells.

We turn to look and see Cal walking up to us at a fast pace. James starts growling immediately.

Cal looks at James and laughs. "Cork it mutt."

"James go inside." I say to him while pushing him towards the pack house doors. I turn back to cal. "don't you have a dark hole to crawl back into?"

Cal looks at me with a smirk. "You know lily, one day your going to find yourself alone with no one around to hear you scream and beg for me to stop."

I look at him and give a small laugh. "As long as I have my powers, the day you touch me, you'll know what it feels like to watch half your body burn to ash while the other half freezes, as the earth swallows you whole." I turn to Eric. "Thank you for taking us out today, have a good night." I grab the bags including his and walk up to the house.

-Eric-

Lily doesn't need much protection while she has her powers. She gave me a chill while threatening Cal, he looks a little terrified, the only person I've seen him scared of was Edward.

"What's up Cal?"

"Why is she nice to you? You work for Edward as well."

"She said I don't have a creepy vibe." I shrug acting like I have no idea why she treats me good.

"Well I'm leaving. Edward called me back he wants something different for her than the rest of you. I have to not only make her powers disappear but put her wolf to sleep so she can't shift."

"He's taking all of it from her. Even her wolf."

"He worries that if she can shift into her wolf her wolf might be able to use their powers even with a bracelet, thus killing us all so he wants to take any power she may have away."

I nod quietly. He's going to great lengths to keep her, f*****g asshole.

"Anyways behave, Edward will be checking in with you every couple days."

"Of course he will. Bye cal." I watch Cal shift into his wolf and take off with long strides making himself run really quick.

"f**k, I need to find her dad and let him know." I walk into the pack house and head for Leon's office. It's rather late but maybe he's still there.

I get to the door and knock. Surprisingly he opens the door and smiles.

"Eric? what can I do for you?" he opens the door further and stands to the side to let me into the office.

I walk in quickly and pace back and forth in front of his desk behind the chairs. "Cal left, but he gave me an update."

Leon walks over to his desk and sits down. "Alright what's the update."

"Edward is designing something to put her wolf to sleep so she can't shift and silence her powers so she can't fight back." I stop pacing and look at him.

Leon nods and writes it down quickly. "Alright. Thank you for the update. Bastard he is."

I nod. "we need to think of something. for when the time comes, but I should get back to her, I think I made her uncomfortable at the mall."

Leon nods and raises an eyebrow. "what did you do?"

I scratch the back of my neck giving a small chuckle. "I gave her bank cards to all my accounts. She seemed flustered."

Leon laughs. "just like her mother. go to your mate Eric."

I nod and walk out of his office and jog up the stairs towards the alpha quarters.

I hope she's not mad at me for taking that step.

"stop worrying."

"Thanks for your wonderful advice Eris."

I walk up to her bedroom door and walk in, to find her taking her shirt off with her back facing me.

I walk up behind her and unbuckle her bra, sliding the straps off her shoulders and letting her bra drop to the ground. I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss his neck softly. She smells so good. Her body perfectly fitting against mine.

She moves her hair away from the side of her neck that I'm kissing.

I place my hands over his hands that are resting on my stomach. Enjoying the tingles his kisses are leaving on my skin.

"Eric?"

"Yea lily."

"You are an amazing and kind man. I'm happy your my mate, and lucky." I turn around in his arms and place my hands on his chest. "and it's not fair." I look up at him quietly.

"not fair?"

"We are only getting one year to enjoy one another freely. Not being able to have a normal bond. It's not fair that you can't be the man you want to be with me and in a year I won't be able to freely kiss you or love you or have s*x with you."

"I can't protect you around him but I promise to take whatever beating or punishment just to be able to stay close to you during that time. To hold you when you cry after the fact, and find people to help take him down to free you."

Eric takes his jacket off. "let's go lay down together." he takes his shoes and pants off and his shirt, placing them on the chair and crawling into bed.

I smile and take my pants off so I'm in just my thong and crawl into bed beside him. I pull the covers over us and lay my head on his chest.

"If Edward wasn't a factor, what did you imagine and want with your mate growing up?" I rub circles on his chest with a smile.

"I wanted to rule my pack with my mate by my side. Include her in all my decisions like a man should, because mates keep you centered, calm and clear minded. I wanted to expand my pack and business, and I wanted a pack house full of pups running around, that belonged to me and my mate."

I blush thinking about the cute pups me and him would have.

"and you lily?" he rubs my back up and down.

I look up at him still blushing. "Basically the same. I wanted truth and insight into what my mate was planning. I wanted to be involved in any wars and not left at home in the dark because I'm strong and can help tremendously, and I wanted 5 pups, because growing up in a childless pack house was depressing."

"Sounds perfect." Eric places a hand on my cheek and kisses me deeply.

I put my hand on his neck and pulls him closer to me him moving onto his side half on-top of me instead.

I wrap my other arm around his shoulders and part my lips for his tongue to enter my mouth.
