Williams hadn’t believed his eyes when he saw Gina through that glass. It had been so long, he could swear. He’d longed to see her for a long time. To hold her close and press his lips against hers. He had suppressed his feelings for so long and when gotten the chance to tell her what he felt, he still couldn’t. No amount of trials to suppress his feelings paid off.
No matter how much he looked away and tried starting a new family with this old man who took him in, he couldn’t forget Gina or his young boy.
He remembered that day he was taken in, as if it were yesterday. The old man had helped him to his home and called him a doctor.
Recovering from the bullet wound was not a piece of cake, but with the help of Gabriela’s nursing skills, he’d recovered faster.
