“Canon!” Daisy laughed and reached out her hands. Immediately, the high alpha swept her up and held her carefully while he glared at me.
“Sorry, Alpha,” I said. “I wanted to let you know I had her, but I got distracted trying to get her dressed. Would you like me to keep watching her, or should I finish up with the housekeeping?”
He looked at Daisy and sighed. “Nico and Knox are both busy, and I have a call I need to take in my office in a few minutes. Forget the housekeeping. I need you to watch her for me.”
“No problem,” I said, though I was a little concerned about my unfinished work and abandoned cleaning cart. Daisy was the priority, though, and I was looking forward to spending more time with her.
