After getting nothing out of James, I changed my clothes and ran to his house. I would walk if no one wanted to take me, but Emma, even without knowing what was happening, offered, as Sophia tried to hide all the chaos from Edmund.
“Ok, explain to me why James is with a friend of yours at home.”
“He's helping her, but she's gone,” I say as if my explanation was enough. My cell phone starts ringing repeatedly and I stare at the screen, hoping it's good news.
“Hello, Damon? No, I'm going there... No, but…”

“No, he didn't want me to worry, because he would solve it.” I almost lied, because in reality he just didn't want me to be linked to Alex. Imagine when he finds out Emma got involved.
