Afterwards, Adrian engaged her in a charade of conversations.
He kept talking about so many things at once and nothing at all leaving Cassidy exhausted and overwhelmed. Even though she pretended she was understanding him with a polite smile, it was becoming tiring.
It was not until the afternoon that Adrian became bored and then turned to Cassidy.
“I know I’ve taken up all your time, Cass; it’s just that I was so happy to see you and I tend to talk more when I’m happy,”.
“No problem, but let’s talk some other time,” Cassidy rose to her feet with a firm smile on her face
