It had been hard the last couple of hours seeing Roger lying in the infirmary bed, white as a corpse.
Nova never left Roger's side holding his hand in hers, praying that Roger would survive.
I did a number on him... he shouldn't be alive. It was a miracle that he was still breathing...
The good old doctor did some tests and took some x-rays and showed Nova and me the results...
My heart broke... it was worse than we thought...
I sighed, blinking the tears away, feeling miserable. I was to blame for Roger's condition! That was my fault!
I was ashamed... and angry at myself!
What will the pack's reaction be should Roger, their Beta?
How would Nova react? Would she want revenge?
