"Nerina, wait up!" Blake's husky voice called from behind me and I stopped, turned, and smiled, as I waited for him and his mate, Janine, to join Nova and me.
We were all walking down towards the clearing for an emergency pack meeting, and everyone needed to attend.
Even me!
No one knew exactly what the meeting was about, and everyone speculated that their Alpha had chosen a new mate.
I sighed, irritated.
Everyone knew that I had spurned the title and the Luna Ceremony was canceled... so why include me in this?
This was so unnecessary.
